I like it. well done.
This is pretty minor but I found myself reaching for my controller so i could use a joysitck. i wanted to have some more precision for the character movment. the controls felt a little twitchy for precision required.
adding some more velocity to the character might help,
Again this was pretty minor.
Very Good interpretation of the theme, I really liked it!
the way the player carries the charge was nice :D
The level design in this is really good! You managed to teach that you didn't need all the polls to be connected in order to pass the levels early on, and each mechanic was introduced in an easy setting first, getting harder later. It was nice that you added sound effects aswell. Good entry!
Good! The only thing - I wish there were some animation or highlight when you touch the pole to start a connection.
Very nice game! Idea is great and how you implemented it as well. At first I thought all totems always needed to be connected but turned out that was not the case :). Congrats on making this cool entry on your first time and also the amount of levels you managed to implement. Good job!
Fun game, little bit of puzzle, little bit of twitch gameplay, a good mix. Art is cute and the level design is well thought. Congratulations!
I really like what you did with the effects on the power line, pretty cool how it gets smaller the farther away you get from the last pole. The larger levels where you have to dodge all the moving enemies were fun and really worked well with the core mechanics.
Sweet logo and intro screen to start. Very cool idea that matches the theme wonderfully! Controls were a little "loose" feeling, but perhaps that was on purpose to add a bit more of a challenge!? I like that there were a decent number of levels as well. Nice game!
I'm not a 100% sure it was intended, it was a big learning process. to finish this game.
But if someone else asks, yes, sure. All according to plan!
good work, steep learning curve. great animation on the splash screen, how'd u get it to animate on itch?
Thanks for the reply! It seems itch accepts the GIF format with a loop animation as an icon. It worked out of the box.
Fun game! Really fits the Connection theme, and the mechanics of each entity in the game can be clearly understood. Also love the sound effects, it clearly shows what is happening with each sound :)
Personally though, I think the movement of the player isn't something that works well with the game. It's a puzzle game so it doesn't need the tight controls of a platformer, but it still feels unwieldy. I definitely had times where I had the connection destroyed accidentally due to the character movement.
Overall a good game!
Ha, I agree. I guess we kind were following the wrong tutorials haha. Thanks for playing!
You have the same issue I had a few minutes ago.
I just added a ".pck" file to the dowload
" Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing?
If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension). "
Thank you so much! I will check.
