Cute graphics, interesting game. I included it in my GoGodot Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Super simple yet super engaging, is a doodle jump like game but the twist where you need to water the platforms first so you can stand on them is really creative and makes it way more engaging. Loved it ^^

Thank you so much for your kind words!  I'm so glad you enjoyed my game =)

Ahhhhh So creative! I loved this game so much! I think it is wildly smart and clever to have to "grow" the platforms and a great way to integrate the theme of the jam! The artwork is so incredibly cute and the first few times I died I died because I fell to the bottom, but when I got struck by a bird I love how they eyes changed and I just dropped afterwards lol. The music was very cute and felt appropriate for the style of game as well as the  artwork. Great job!!

Great game! the only thing i would recommend to improve is the death animation a bit, but honestly I'm just nitpicking here, great game, definitely see this as a mobile game, hey if you got time check my game out as well

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback.  I'll try to make some adjustments to the death animation when I work on a future build.  I greatly appreciate you taking the time to play my game.   p.s.  I will definitely check out your game when I get the chance =)

Simple and addictive little game. Good job. There could be some interface element that shows how many water drops are ready to use.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words and feedback!  If I decide to continue working on this, I'll definitely add a water drop meter to the UI =)

A nice little game with a simple concept that's fairly well executed and has an amount of polish. I could definitely see this working as a mobile game. Did you make the graphics or did they come in a pack?

Thank you for your kind words!  All the assets were created by me, except for the font.  The font was created by Kenny, which you can find here.

Such a cheery little Cherry game!

The pixel art and music add a lot to your game.

Really nice idea growing your platforms, and the little SFX when dropping down is so cute!

How do you generate the platforms if I may ask?

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!!  I’m so glad you enjoyed it =)

All the platform and enemy generation is done with a script that adds objects to a random area above the screen.  I used the rand_range() function to randomly spawn an object somewhere in between the left-most and right-most part of the screen.  I also used rand_range() to determine how high the next object should be.  Whenever an object goes below the screen, it gets destroyed and spawns a new object.  The actual script used is more complex than that, but that’s the best way I can explain it in a condensed way.  Thank you again for your kind words!
