Really cool design and concept. I wish I could use unity. Also could you check my game too if you dont mind?
Great game, concept and art! I loved your approach. I just wish that double click somehow works like dragging. And also, music stops after a while and some early levels reappear somewhere.
This might as well be a Professor Layton minigame that keeps building up in the background as you progress through the story. I mean that in the best way possible, those minigames were awesome
Superb, this feels like a virtual Rubik's cube in the way you think about how to solve each puzzle by getting the right face on the die!
Of all the puzzle games of getting a die to a specific position on a specific face (of which there have been quite a few), this is my favorite. The original twist of programming actions and functions added to the visuals makes it stand out from the rest. For me, it could be at the top! Great job!
Great Mind Boggleing puzzles
The game has a lot of potential, but also a lot of room for improvements!
Nice hell of a job with the art style! Try to find a more fitting soundtrack though! :D
Wow what a cool game. Unfortunately i encountered some bugs, were the direction of the movement of the dice was not correct (but the animation had the correct direction ;D)
Really cool puzzle game! I always love playing these sequence-style games, they make you think a lot which I enjoy. The game is really polished too, and I love the art style. Overall a really strong submission, great work! :)
Really neat game! The UI and sound design are super polished, appealing and responsive, I just love the look and feel of this game! The sound is also nice and chill. This impressive that you managed to make such a complicated game in such a short amount of time. I didn't get past the 4th level because I'm bad at puzzles and impatient but, if the rest of the game is like what I saw, I'm sure it's great. Very nice job!
I really liked the concept: I'm a programmer, and it's my strong conviction there aren't enough programming games in the world! I didn't get to the final levels (the rotate command seemed to be broken?), but is interesting to consider that you built a non-Turing complete language (given the very finite input size, even though looping constructs were in theory possible through recursion). I was glad to see you weren't implementing the 'functions' using lambda functions - although I'll admit I was kind of hoping to be able to use recursion to cause a stack overflow, because that would've just been cool.
I enjoyed exploring the nature of your virtual machine. At the very least, you've convinced me I need to build my own programming game in a future jam!
Hey commarchininn thanks for trying out our game! We do have recursion levels but unfortunately you can't clear them as the rotate command is broken, sorry! Glad to hear that it fuels you motivation to make a programming game as well :) Good luck my friend
An interesting little puzzle game. As people have mentioned below, the input controls were very tedious; it disincentivises experimenting with different solutions, which is sort of crucial for puzzle games like this. I'd bet a lot of people stopped playing sooner than they would have otherwise because it takes so long to input new patterns. (Even just moving the commands tray closer to the target space would have helped, though "click to add" would probably have been best.)
Hi Jaco! Glad to hear it was interesting, I really like your suggestion of clicking to add the commands, we will definitely look into this post jam! Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! :D Hope you had fun in the jam
Great visuals and puzzles were quite challenging and fun. It was quite tedious having to spend so much time trying to drag and drop the inputs though. Otherwise a fun game
Hey OneSmallBoy, glad to hear the puzzles were challenging and fun! We plan to add more convenient ways to input the commands such as keyboard input and click to insert. Thanks for feedback!
Love the game, despite its buggyness in the later levels. And it looks great, too!
For future development I'd hope you could tackle improving player input, as right now it feels sluggish having to drag and drop everything in across the screen, as well as not being able to add an input before another inside a function.
Hey Plagiatus thanks for trying out our game and the feedback! We will definitely convenient input features to improve the user experience after the jam!
A very unique mashup of programming and strategy game where you have to plan your steps correctly to make the dice face the direction you want! Awesome job!
A nice take on the "roll to move" idea.
Very cool, hurts my brain though lol
Wow! In a Jam with a lot of 'rolling' the dice mechanic.. this one stands out!
The only thing I can suggest to make this shippable is but if the interface was a little easier to use (keyboard key + click moves things around).. but otherwise A+!
Please do checkout our game too!
Hey bijoykochar thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed our entry, we understand our user experience needs some improvement to be more intuitive. We will definitely check your game out when we're free!
I REALLY liked this game! Once I got into the F1 levels I thought that was a SUPER fun thing (level 7 broke for me when I tried to use the functions, the dice kinda "rolled the wrong way off the map)
Hey Rook thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed! Unfortunately we couldn't fix various bugs in time for submission :( Will fix it after the jam though!
Fun Game but this type of game has been done alot so It took a little off your creativity score. Everything else is awesome though!
Thanks for trying out jiegomon!
