Art style is super rad, and the gimmick makes the randomness actually really manageable and fun!

Developer(+1)

What randomness are you talking about ? The dice sides aren't actually random (after the first one) but follow the actual physical sides of a dice (with the sum of each going to 7, 1 in front of 6 for example)

So if you are careful and attentive enough there is a way to manipulate the boss

Submitted(+1)

I meant more that the boss seems to sometimes stop after different numbers of movements, but you're absolutely right that it can be manipulated to get more favorable results and isn't really random (a little burnt out at how many games were pure luck). I was in a bit of a rush to get the comment out so I apologize.

Developer

No problem. This is great feedback in any case !
If players are thinking that it is random then it means that there is something that we weren't communicating well and should improve on :)

Wow this was super cool and really interesting, awesome job! The art style is amazing, and I especially loved the super short intro with the GM's screen, etc. The take on the theme was really clever with a boss-avoiding style of game. It was for sure hard to internalize all the different options it could do and be able to react fast, but Im glad you put the move guid on the right side of the screen. Great job with this!

Cool visuals, love your art style, though maybe you can lessen the screen shake IMO.

Its also very fun & very unique experience, I hope you continue the development & expand/improve the game more, coz this is indeed one of the unique game I've experience in this jam, awesome job!

Cool game! Lovely idea and amazing art!

Really liked it! Presentation over the top!

Amazing game. I felt the laser was too fast, without any anticipation for the player. Anyway, solid entry

The animations and unique artstyle on this game are sooooo coool - really makes it a fun and refreshing experience. On top of that, the premise is unique and fun too - and makes for a challenging, nerve wracking, yet really enjoyable experience. If you were to expand on this in the future, more feedback for the player in terms of what ability the dice will land on next and how long it will be until their dash recharges would be great! Really cool game, one of my favourites so far - good job!

Fun game, I got a lot of adrenaline! I really like all the funny little animations ^^

Looks amazing, sound design is very good, loved the idea,  had a lot of fun. Feels very polished,  this one has potential in my opinion.(adding randomized level in the future would make this an ultimate experience, thats for sure)

Developer(+1)

We though about making hand crafted levels rather than randomized ones. This would allow for a simple tutorial area then increasing complexity with maybe various special terrain types.
Glad you liked it :D

I think this game has the best visuals I have seen in the jam. Super chill gameplay. Had fun playing this one!

Developer

Thanks a lot! :3 Really happy that you had fun playing it!

Submitted(+1)

The creativity of this game is unprecedented. Great work!

Developer

Thanks! :D We tried our best to find an upgradable concept! Really happy that this attempt look good to you!

The colors were awesome. The idea it is so unique, and I can feel the story behind it because I'm a master too :D The game is very solid. Maybe some sort of incremental difficulty (after some minutes of the game) in some way  in order to increment the difficulty for the player?

Developer

Thanks a lot! We may implement this kind of modifier based on play time :D

Really nice gameplay, visuals and music ! Nothing to say exept the fact that the game is a bit too easy that's all. Great job guys !

Developer

haha, indeed, we have some balancing to do ^o^ Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Woah, the animations and the art are awesome! I really liked how you put together stuff art-wise. The game is open to lots of polished elements, I'd love to see them implemented in the future.

The idea is also good, but I felt the best thing to do is to always go as far as I can from the dice. To prevent this behavior of the player, maybe a point counter that increases more rapidly depending on your distance to the dice can be implemented to give the player a risk-reward choice.

Overall, solid entry. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for your feedback! :D We had this idea in mind to start with some simple but upgradable mechanics! We may change some details on this version to make it more fun and less buggy ;)

Submitted(+1)

I really like the art style and the dice :)! Thumbs up for good feedback on when your dash is ready. I think the game could be paced faster and that the difficulty should increase over time – that would make the game more exciting and fun. The time survived could be visible somewhere on the screen and the button to restart easier to hit. It doesn't make sense to hear steps when standing, but no biggie :D. Overall just nicely done!

Developer(+1)

Oh, glad you liked the dash recovery feedback ! We were not sure it was clear to the player that it worked like that
Yeah, time counter would definitely have been good to have and the UI was the last thing we tried to adjust before submitting but we lacked a few minutes to tweak it sadly.
Footsteps while idle... Damn I was sure that I fixed it before submitting :x

Thanks for the feedback :D

nice art, nice concept, good work!

It will be nice if there's some item for player to get something like power maybe

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! For a more polished game, we may add some items or path opportunity for the player :D

awesome art style bro! interesting game mechanic. it's sad that i can't kill the boss dice...

i like that you also share your concept arts. i can see you spend a lot of effort on that

Developer(+1)

Yeah, ways to fight back would be an interesting way to go from here. But it was definitely out of scope for the jam x)

Submitted(+2)

Super unique use of theme. Absolutely love the art style. Music great too. Small nitpick/bug: you can get pushed through small corner gaps when you should be crushed by the cube.  Game feels well scoped and fun to play. Would love to see an expansion with more boss types/dice and new levels. Great job.

Developer(+1)

Haha, if we have to make it for a complete game, i think we can have a lot of different variations per dices! We are actually fixing some bugs and we will update the game after the voting period :D Thanks a lot for your feedback!

This is a really cool concept, I really like it! And the presentation was great all around, I just wish the music was a little louder, I couldn't hear it at first under all the (super awesome) sound effects! Super good job! (and wow, that's a good looking itch page 😎)

Submitted(+1)

I never thought I will run for my life from from a dice, but here we are! :D
I love the hand drawn animations and the music. The sound effects are cool to, but the repeating step noise gets annoying very quickly. Also, high five fellow Godot users! :D
