Very fun. Tutorial guy was funny. Only issue I had was the wyrm that knocked me out of the map and I could not get back in. Definitely the best snake adaptation and easy top 10 games I played.

How does your game fit the theme?
In order to deal damage to enemies you need to create a loop around them (or create a loop around food to fire it as a bullet at the enemies). This gives some trade offs of things like whether to loop something or to use it to grow your length. In addition looping is tied into the story (with things such as the ending cutscene)

Sorry tutorial guy, I cant see anything that you are talking about (I wish I could of played this one if not for whatever bug I had). Looks fun tho!
This snek game looks diffeent than what I remembered.... For real now, this is an excellent game, cool story and really enjoyable to play, congrats!
PS: Also found the snake out of bounds issue, hope you can figure out how to solve it post jam!
I like the theme interpretation, the game is very polished and fun. Cool!
Impressive polish and fun gimmick. There's been quite a few of "tron-like" games where you are expected to fight enemies by looping, but the added looping of food and snake mechanics made this one stand out. Only gripe I have with it are the bosses feeling a bit chaotic and janky in the way they deal damage to you, but even just the idea this kind of game has bosses in the first place is impressive in its own way. Really enjoyed my time with it and doesn't overstay its welcome!
Undoubtedly one of the best games in this jam. Its pretty impresive that this game was made in only four days! Fun mechanics, pretty art and very good sounds effects and music. Congratulations on this submit!
Voice acting in Snake?! Amazing.
The card upgrades really turn this into a modern indie game - I'd love to see a version with more diverse powerup options! The enemies can be pretty punishing at first, and in one playthrough the knight didn't actually appear on screen? (I could only see their health bar).
But overall really cool. Once you get the hang of things, the boss battles provide a nice variety - they're super creative. Love your work.
Cool idea! I liked the spin on the snake game, made me have to fight back every single muscle memory lol.
Ooh I love the idea and the voice acting is a nice touch! There are quite a few things that need to be polished, but I think this has potential, so I'm gonna complain a bit about what I felt didn't work:
- It can be pretty hard to distinguish what is eatable and what not, maybe adding color-coded outlines or something might help?
- The first time I got larger, a cutscene started playing and I died bumping into a wall because I couldn't figure out what was happening. Maybe stop or at least severely slow down time during those parts?
- I never once even saw the first boss, somehow defeated it with bullets.
- For the second boss, in spite of playing super badly, I never felt in any danger of dying ... until I got pushed off the side of the board and kept bumping into something I couldn't see (the boundary probably?)
But yeah, as I said, I think this has potential. Would be interested to see where this could go.
The pixel art is amazing, I love the saturated colors and juicy objects! Took me a while to realize I can hit myself though.
Anyways, great job, this is the kind of stuff I love to see in game jams!
Nice polish and added concept to Snake. I instinctively avoided hitting myself a lot as what Snake was originally, but there's good mix of enjoyable concepts added into it.
