How does your game fit the theme?
In order to deal damage to enemies you need to create a loop around them (or create a loop around food to fire it as a bullet at the enemies). This gives some trade offs of things like whether to loop something or to use it to grow your length. In addition looping is tied into the story (with things such as the ending cutscene)

Art is incredible and this has SO much potential omg. Couple of nitpicks though: Tutorial text covered up some fruit so that was confusing for a bit, was too much like snake so I ended up trying to avoid my own tail.. didn't realise that was the mechanic for a bit 😂, also bumping off of objects often ended up pinballing me between things because of how violent it sent be back!

The art is fire, and the mechanics are cool, good job :^)

Cheers from one ouroboros game dev to another! Your game feels extremely polished and it was so satisfying to play. I also like the CRT TV effects. The art also looks super cool, keep up the great work!

Making loops with your body is an awesome twist on snake. Had a lot of fun with this one.

This is awesome, but man do I suck at snake lmao. I'd love to see a post-jam version with more upgrades to change my playstyle!

Very enjoyable experience overall! I liked the different mechanics, powerups, and the presentation was killer! I'd love to see this concept expanded more.

Really high effort, loved all the voice acting as a finishing touch.

An absolutely incredible rework of the Snake concept! Very polished and the kind of thing players could keep coming back to over and over. This is basically a full and finished game already... I love it.

Props for the voice acting, it made me laugh a lot.

Play this hungry, it's more fun that way! Absolutely love your take on the classic snake, the mechanics you added are so much fun. Looping the snake for attack is brilliant. And I went crazy when the wizard said "Eat the world now".  Great art too. Idc this game is for the jam, i will keep it in my local and play every now and then. (btw Web build did not work for me, it seems broken somehow but it could be on my end. Mac build worked flawless.)

Developer(+1)

Yeah web has been having issues on mac for some reason. Glad the mac build works though

Holy grail for snake lovers and presentation is just like a full game on steam. Just unbelievable. But it is still a classic snake, even with those twists on top... and I just played too much Snake when I was young and just cannot take in more..

Adorable art, amazing gameplay, creepy wizard father. What more could you ask for? I do think that the enemies lock in on head and move a bit too fast, makes it hard to loop around them

Developer

Some of the faster enemies are easier to deal with by firing bullets at them by looping around food

As an advanced tip though they will avoid moving onto your body so you can corral them into one spot

I like the twist on a classic game. Great art and music to go with it! Did have some trouble with the bosses, the first one completely disappeared so I had to randomly make loops, and the second left for minutes at a time so I had to deal with that while navigating the fires. Would enjoy seeing this continue to be built out so that our friend is eating cities, countries, and even planets. Good job!

Developer

Yeah the bosses seem to like to go on vacation sometimes. Luckily can still be attacked though but want to get a fix for that out post jam. The ending cutscene may have something to do with a planet and being eaten

I never knew I needed snake as a roguelike. This idea is really creative and executed well, great job!
