How does your game fit the theme?
the game fits the theme because it have a scale mechanic where players control a ball that must grow in size to collect coins, but enlarging the ball makes it more difficult to dodge incoming squares, once you get hit your next attack is delayed, giving the chance to the enemy. This forces players to strategically decide whether to prioritize collecting coins or focus on dodging obstacles to attack faster

Really interesting take on two genres! Cool pixel art. But I couldn't tell when I was taking damage.

The only thing I would change is having the character kill the 3 ninja demons, and then he moves to an other level, until he gets to a boss level instead of staying in the same spot! Maybe add some different attacks to dodge with different kinds of mobs, a homing triangle that follows your dot for a short time or something :D! Fun game and cute art!

Fun ideas, but some different kinds of bullet  attacks would have been nice

wow, fun and fast-paced, would be every so lightly better if maybe the background changed as you approached low health, and maybe also a sound for when you get hit in the bullet hell mode

at first, i thought i couldn't play this game but once i got used to it, it was so enjoyable!

although i wish there was for feedback when you couldn't dodge correctly or obtained a coin

nice game and visuals, i sometimes got too busy controling the ball, i couldnt see the players health, and i first thought the enemies would end, i thought there were different levels

Great game, but i feel like there's no point of the bottom stuff happening. i mean, all we r playing is the little ball. would be cool if we got to control the player's actions as well!

either way really fun!

it's fun

The concept was great and the visuals look very nice! It would have been great to get more feedback on when you get hit so that it's more noticeable, but other than that it was a very fun mechanic!

Super fun simple idea! I'm not sure what a good score is but I got 84 :)

interesting mechanics! would have loved a little more feedback/juice in the movement and dodging bullet health part of the game. But I loved the style/graphics.

Really really cool stuff -- my only nitpick is that it's tough to keep track of turns and health while focusing on the dodging -- may need some rethink on how to display that info more clearly on the peripherals, but I know it's a tricky balance. Could also benefit from a dash feature and like others said, more variety in the combat. still, it's an impressive product for a game jam!

I'm loving all the interesting ideas for mechanics I'm seeing this game jam. Yours was fun.  I grew up on RPGs and this is a nice twist on them with a risk/reward system (growing/shrinking to have different size and speed). Good submission!

Great visual style and an really interesting interpretation and execution of the theme. That being said, it's really hard to grasp what's going on right away as you are thrown right into things. The other issue is that I don't really care about the fight going on. The guy will attack automatically and I have to keep my focus on the ball, and the enemies don't change the gameplay. I think having enemies to mix up the gameplay and maybe even something more turn based to help keep the game flowing (for example, survive until the player can attack and then pick an enemy, and repeat.) All in all, it's a very well made game with a unique idea behind it, I could totally see this as like a full rpg or roguelike.

Loved visuals! Whole idea is quite unique and interesting!

The only thing that bothered me a bit was chaos. I felt very overwhelmed at the beginning. I was not even sure where to look and what to do, since it is like two games combined in one. But it can simply be solved by slowing down everything at the start and increasing pace from there.

Overall it is great entry and I enjoyed it!

Fun little bullet hell. I wasn't really paying attention to the "fight". I was really hoping there was going to be a "Boss" and a change in the projectiles to dodge. Controls felt sharp and responsive. Noice Job!

It's really chaotic and I love it! I dig this frenetic pacing.

The polish (light, trail...) adds a lot.

If I had to nitpick, I found it a bit frustrating that growing when you where already on a coin doesn't pick it up.

All in all, a fun experience, well done!

Ah, that's a bug! I missed it while coding, sorry about that! 😅
