fun game, the lack of music is a little jarring, i think even the sound of car driving and honking would be cool, instead of just the gambling machine

sometimes the trucks spawn way too close and its impossible to tell which way im supposed to go to survive, although i guess that fits the theme of risk XD

my feedback:

  1. graphics are cool, but its a little annoying not being able to see my character at all when it's dark.
  2. the character also reacts to input a little late, but that might just be my laptop
  3. tenna :D

hello! Thanks for feedback :D

Wasn't able to make a tutorial in time since this game was a bit too complex (i usually stick to a simple concept as seen from my other games)

I'll fix the other issues though if I can! Thank you so much for playing :)

Making card games is way harder than i thought 😅

nice game, only thing is that i think the audio doesnt work? idk if you have added it, but music isnt playing for me when i play the game

I increased the size, lemme know if it's good! thanks :D

thanks! same to you :D

the starting part of the game was a bit confusing since i didnt realise i had to turn back, but the rest of the game was really fun! also yes, last minute rating is real

and i like that the cat has a light coming down from it so i know where ill end up, really makes the game for fun to play :D

absolute cinema

oh by the way i got a playthrough on the game page done, but it doesn't show the ending as i want players to experience it themselves :3

this game scared me so much i dont think im playing another game again

10/10

the audio and the art is perfect for a game like this... just screams creepy

This is a very interesting take on that watermelon game
i really like the art and the music, and just the gameplay loop in general
i do wish we could rapid-fire shoot the balls though. apart from that very nice game :D

also as i write this comment i realised that you're the same one who i teamed up with around 2-3 years ago. not sure if you remember me but i'm super thankful for you letting me work with you :)

(Also i'm way better with git now 😭)

oh yes, I made the snake turn a little slower since the original controls were super broken and jittery, but ill try remaking the controls from scratch for the post-jam version

Thank you for playing!

This is a really well made game!

By the way, theres a bug where i got the green key out of nowhere (third level), not sure how that happened

thank you! I'll keep this in mind for a post jam version :D

research in that department is still undergoing

even I want to make a relaxing game in this style too now 😭

As i mentioned before, i REALLY like this kind of environment. Dreamy, lost in paradise, katamari style. I like that there's no win-state or lose-state (unless you count the 'secret')

If you ever want to go back to this idea to develop it further, then it would be amazing if you kept it as a relaxing infinite ride, where i just get to hit random everyday things for fun and chill out

The camera shake effect gets a bit too much when i loop a lot of thiings, though. everything else is amazing

ah, okay got it. will try playing it again when i can!

Idk if it already exists yet, but the idea of beat saber-but-parkour is a very cool idea :D
the controls are super fun to play with and the song is amazing
although i do wish there were checkpoints because falling down a pit and then doing it all over again is a bit tedious

But for a post-jam version, you could add the following:

  • the blocks can be neon, like in beat saber, also could use a WorldEnvironment (in godot) to change the default sky and lighting
  • checkpoints so it feels forgiving

I couldn't get past the wall-run area cuz im a bit confused on how to do that exactly. if someone could let me know, that would be great :)

this is the only game that ive actually given a five-star rating in all categories

if you're reading the comments then you should go play it first :D

SPOILERS

--------------------------------------

i spent so much time thinking the gambling part came fourth because of the 'go forth' clue, but i'm glad the game just decided im too stupid and gave me the answer eventually anyway 😭

(1 edit)

This game is perfect. The puzzles are great, the artstyle is amazing, and the hamsters are so cute :3

10/10 instantly

that was really nice :)

would love to see this developed into a full game :D

got a highscore of 59250!!!!!!!

It's super hard but also fun, this feels like one of those flash games (and i mean this in the best way possible)

i originally thought the response time was a bit slow then i realised that my keyboard was at fault :sob:

I LOVE the rainworld aesthetic, and just the whole vibe in general :3

there is this bug where if one furloop is standing on another onna slope, the one at the botton glitches through the floor and into the void, and doesnt come back

but apart from that i really liked it :D and yeah godot's compatibility issues with glow is super annoying

this game taught me that my sense of rhythm is absolutely horrible

at some point my hands hurt so i just let the clown die on purpose. the clown looks oddly cute when its dead, not sure how to feel about that

the only thing is that i wish it showed my high score at the end when i lose

Thanks! :D

I plan on making controls easier after the jam since a few have complained about it being too hard

Thank you for playing! Glad to hear you enjoyed it :D

I'll keep in mind to make the controls easier for future versions of the game!

I love the explosion effect, it's super satisfying

First I mash my computer and then make two identical functions for no reason. This is what they call Peak Programming Experience.

Thank you so much for playing!

yeah I should have added a health pickup at some point, it wouldn't have been hard to implement but I kind of forgot about it 😅

But I'm interested in your game now. Will add it to my play-list :D

Dont give out my secrets 🙏🙏

no clue who that is, but he sounds super handsome and cool hehe

My little brother played this and loved it :)

i love the artstyle its so cute and happy

Thank youuu! :D

i love this so much

I like the laser dragging mechanic, and the controls are super fun!

Still trying to get the big asteroid through to the end though... but i will update once i do that! also got my brother to play this game, he struggled at it but he said he had fun :D

For a first jam entry this is super solid

also quick note but i found this bug when the asteroid is still attached to my laser and is destroyed. I keep clicking enter and it just shows me the screen without letting me restart... i had to manually reload the page from the beginning. but apart from that this was fun :) Here's the video if it helps you figure out the issue:

Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you :DD

yeah a lot of bugs last-minute unfortunately, had to scrap a ton of content or it would ruin the experience (im assuming you mean the enemies taking a fraction of a second before death)

Oh i didnt know that actually. weird bug.

glad to know you liked it! i focused waaaaaay to much on polish instead of the actual content this year :0

originally it was supposed to be an infinite arcade game, and the bomb was supposed to be a game mechanic where you had to SHATTER all of them before the timer ran out. but 5 hours before deadline, it crashed the game. still no clue why...

so i completely scrapped it and made it a last minute mechanic.

its an endgame thing btw, there is so surviving it

also im pretty sure you're the only one who's actually seen the end, even i had to use cheats and debug mode to reach the end lmao

thanks so much for playing! i'm glad you liked it :D
