Great game. The only point was that I couldn't read the red text due to not wanting to get distracted ;D

Best reversed Pong I've seen! So much fun! Almost like Pong meets rhythm game!

Man referees have it hard.

Great game :)

Nice! It's like a rhytm game, but without any rhythm. :-)

I was wondering, is there some way to make up for mistakes? Maybe by getting a certain number of perfect pings in a row?

Developer

Took a lot of inspiration from rythm games, in fact I was hoping to implement more such as a beat and coordinating the balls movements so that they follow such beat, but I felt that would've massively increased the scope of the project

what a fun idea!!! I wasn't expecting such an approach to the subject, very well developed! It's also quite generic and doesn't lose the arcade genre at all, which is great :) good job!

Fantastic, explendid, i have no words of how much funny it was, I created a section at our discord in order to recomend games to the others members and this is the first post :)

Nice game! Would be great if there's more variation or random events to make the game more chaotic. Like a booster bubble that speed up the ball when a ball touch it. Or a portal that teleport the balls. Just some random thoughts ^_^

Developer

Noted indeed. There's definitelly plenty more that could be done, I just tried to keep it simple to cut on testing time.

Fun but challenging game with a good take on the theme! I like how at first it became more challening by gradually adding more balls, but then it switched to instead making the balls faster. It made the game more intense

Developer

Yep, up to 90 balls the difficulty scaling is hand picked to keep some variety, then things scale mostly linearly up to the 200th ball

Cool game.

Clever idea with a good level of challenge. Maybe you could add powerups to enhance gameplay. Had a lot of fun playing it, good job!

This game was surprisingly fun! Simple concept but quite engaging. The graphics and early, late, perfect scoring system were a great touch.

Very clever idea! it's very challenging, but there should be more depth in the gameplay. A solution could be the possibility to add powerups that the ball can get, like the possibility to split or go faster.
Btw very nice job,  and good luck with the jam!

Developer

Variety was most definitelly an idea, but didn't want to add more complexity to the game considering how hard it already gets and it would've needed more time spent playtesting and balancing. Will consider post-jam tho! Thanks for playing the game and good luck to you as well!

Very good game loved the idea that seems simple and easy but is engaging and requires real focus to get correct. Great arcade style high score game

This is a very cool idea and the "PONG but you PING" description makes it work even better!

Brilliant concept, this is probably my favourite game I've played so far.

Also very impressed with the smart and effective tutorial (right side only, then left side only, then game starts properly)

Well executed, looks good and super unique. You should be proud!

I didn't expect this, and It's incredible... Genius concept

That was so fun. Good job, definitely a great concept and executed so so well. Nice work!

Love how simple it is, as well as how polished it is. So far, this has been the most fun I've had in my queue. Well done on your idea theme, "scorekeeper" wasn't even a role I was anticipating to see!

Developer

Me neither this dumbass idea literally came to me in my sleep and I'm not joking

Submitted(+1)

excellent idea, I liked the polish to make it easier to understand who hit the ball last, it's a detail, but it makes a lot of difference.

Had a fun time with this one. I liked a lot of the design here you had to make this fun but also not, annoying. Small details like the red and green on the balls on a black background to make them stand out, the pitch shifting on the audio to determine speed and accuracy of the PINGs, very nice! Definitely gave this one a few gos, my high score is 18800.
