Reflecting bullets in twinstick shooters can in some ways feel more engaging than simply shooting the bullets yourself, since you not only need to aim the reflected shot but also let the bullets get close enough in order to parry them. If you wanted to expand this project, more enemy types and especially bullet types/patterns would spice things up! It's also cool that you made your own engine.

This is fun! I really like the parrying system. I do wish there was some more feedback for when your parry was ready, either with audio or even just a white flash. It would have also been cool to see some more types of weapons, like a knife or spatula. Good job overall, and congrats on using your own engine!

Punny name! :D

I like the idea of deflecting the bullets back at the chefs. The movement speed is a little bit slow imo. With a bit more enemy variety and tuning this could be a pretty fun little arcade game.

Congratulations on finishing a game in your own engine for the jam, that's super impressive all on its own. I'd appreciate it if you check out my game too if you have a minute.

Some others have shared the sentiment of the gameplay being slow. In early testing I was overwhelmed on wave 2 so I think I over corrected and didnt have much more time to spend on balancing.

Having a custom engine is cool.  And making a game with it is even cooler. Gameplay is kinda slow but still nice job

Game looks a little goofy and is a bit slow, but seeing it was made on a custom engine it's funny for what it is. The theme implementation is pretty clever tho!

Haha, super funny and entertaining game. If you decide to continue with the development it would be cool to have some SFX;food based games are a prime opportunity for some awesome food ASMR! LOL. Great job!

Thank you so much. Sadly as I made the game engine my self I just dont have any audio support but that is next on my to-do list

I absolutely love the flavour of this, and it serves as proof that parrying is a mechanic that is literally always fun

The gameplay is actually really fun, addicting and satisfying! The art is also not bad. This could really benefit from some music and SFX!

Yeah thats the one thing I was upset about my engine still doesnt have audio support but thats next on my priority list
