Great game and really fun to play! I am really bad at it though! haha
So pls share some tips xD
Really cool game ! I had a lot of fun playing, it was a bit hard but i manage to finish it. You can improve the graphics but exept that, the game is well made !
Good job !
I liked the concept! I was a little confused at first with leveling down, but overall great execution.
Very creative take on reversing(?) the bullet hell genre! Also very stylish.
I think the concept of sparing the shapes early on in order to have more power to destroy them later is super interesting, but a bit hard to act upon in the heat of the moment, so I mostly just focused on surviving, haha.
I noticed that the levels without obstacles in on the edges/corners could be cheesed a bit by dodging around the perimeter, which I think kited the enemies into the center. This made some levels a lot easier than others, sometimes later levels easier than earlier ones.
One small critique: The first few times I beat a level I thought I had lost. Something about the white flash and instant pause definitely triggered the “game over” reflex in my brain.
I did eventually have to give up, probably due to being too low-level to effectively evade the teal super-fast squares, but I threw myself at the level a few dozen times, so clearly I was having fun! Great work!
Great concept and execution; I found the game pretty difficult, wishing there was some hp system (which could've also decrease by level) so at least the blue ones didn't one-shot you, or maybe the dash could've also been a ram to damage the enemies (so u risk losing exp doing it)
Having a scaling HP system would have definitely been the right call now that I think about it. The intention was to add a sort of psuedo-puzzle element to the game with choosing how to position yourself etc, but I didn't consider that I could have used a ram mechanic to actually work with that system more organically while also making the game less unforgiving. Really great feedback, thank you :D
Never have I been so proud of being so low level! I really like all of the reversals here: leveling down, sparing instead of killing some enemies, decreasing in exp... Excellent idea and execution!
creative idea! I liked the art alot. Cute shapes (:
This was fun and intense! Having to survive in different ways after downgrading really tested me. I had to find certain areas to funnel enemies to have a better chance at surviving! Great job for your first game jam effort!
This idea is so interesting! Instead of simply flipping an idea on its head, you've managed to make it an oddly satistfying balance between killing and saving the shapes. The sound effects are also so fun, and for some reason that "game over" sound keeps me hitting restart!
Not sure how you don't have more ratings, this one is pretty cool! I really like the way the level downs work, with the visible and noticeable decrease in your strength. Also fairly polished for a game jam with the lighting effects, music, and graphics. Honestly a really creative take on 'reverse bullet hell'. Nice job!
Loved the little cubes >w< so cute!!
This game was quite intuitive and was very creative. I loved the gameplay and mechanics.
It would be much appreciated if you would rate my game.
Hard to balance keeping shapes alive and fleeing from them. Made for fun gameplay! Well done.
It's very easy to pick up from the get-go, the leveling down mechanic is creative. It's brutal that you die to one hit, but I just got too used to being overpowered in the beginning haha. Nice touch, adding the preview of what your weaponry is going to look like the next round.
Nicely done. It's very interesting how even thought the skill ceiling is flipped on its head, it still manages to get harder as you progress!
