I'm not sure how much more this could realistically be expanded, but for a jam game it was quite enjoyable while it lasted.
I love the concept! I didn't understand that I switched roles in the second round, but afterwards I figured it out, so an indicator may help
I enjoyed the game quite a lot. The interpretation of the theme is really cool, I had the same idea and didn't know what to choose between summoning the enemies or controlling them. Seems like that summoning them makes an enjoyable game. The art is cool but maybe with some post-processing could make the game feel better and tbh I felt like defeating the AI is a little bit difficult but overall a fun game. Well done.
This is definitely a really neat concept, with more polishing and balancing this could be a really solid game 7/10. I had a lot of fun playing this
This is a fascinating idea. I wasn't sure whether I should be making the cube stronger or the enemies since I was going to be acting as both at all times. In the end the best strategy seemed to just be to keep the game as balanced as possible.
Very interesting! It legit got my mind moving!
BTW There is a bug which shows my submitted game as Snake Game . It's actually "Anvil Iron" which you can find in my profile :)
Interesting concept! The instructions on gameplay needs to be a bit more clear, but I had fun after figuring it out!
This is a very interesting game once I understood how it plays. The concept of you level up but the same as your enemy is very cool. A couple of suggestions: a quick tutorial of how the game function would help a lot, and the attack phase could have a bit of tweak as it is very hard to beat the AI. Otherwise, great game!
The game is really fun! A very simple concept, but I think some instruction would be really helpful. At first, I was confused on what was happening, I thought I was just playing a stationary tower defense game kinda thing. I realized halfway through that one of the towers I wasn't controlling and I was supposed to be attacking them, and by then I had picked enough upgrades that it was too hard to defeat the ai. I enjoyed it overall, and it's a nice concept. Nice work!
Fascinating idea, I'd love to see more. I think that offence gameplay is a little too simple right now though.
This is a cool idea, although could really use better balancing, and explanation of how to play. Really creative concept though.
Nice concept! Solid mechanics and I think the fire rate improves further the game goes. If so it's awesome.
I think switching between offense and defense could be good but I'm a warm blooded male and all I want to do is destroy stuff so I just upgrade all the damage and then placing enemies isn't very effective. Music was nice though.
Amazing work! Probably my favorite incorporation of the jam theme that I've played. Pretty fun and quite difficult
(Consider checking out my submission, Duck Run! It's a spin on the classic Duck Hunt game)
This is the one of the best games I played so far. Concept is very good and well executed. But I find damaging to AI part a bit hard. Well done.
My pride won't let me stop playing, good job!
The concept is definitely worth exploring more.
This is such an interesting idea! It had me baffled at first and then I was like, this is kind of cool! Did feel I was getting better when attacking the AI (but you mentioned the balancing) but I'd love to see this idea built out further! Cool game!
Interesting concept, the music, and presentation are very good overall! I almost lost the game but just barely managed to cling on for dear life and win when it swapped back to the enemy phase. One thing I will say though is that I think that the gameplay for the enemy side could use a bit more depth. There isn't much to do after you place down your units and there isn't much strategy to where you place them. Also as you already mentioned the balance is a bit weird, but I think that's a side effect of the concept. Other than that, great work!
Also funni little thing, an illusion of choice smh.
