I played this game until I beat it and had a fun time! The game fits the theme well with the mechanic of swapping between prey and hunter. It took me a while to figure out that I could shoot a laser with the Spacebar, so consider adding the controls somewhere in the game. (Edit: I now see that the controls are on the game page, my bad!) The difficulty feels well balanced, and I think the layout of the level is intelligently designed. I like that you have to platform on certain buildings in order to get to the tops of others. The cat food icon is very cute :3 Thanks for sharing this game!
Good job on completing this game!
I played two times, one where I didn't get all rules and right when I understood all the controls (I didn't read the game page so I had to learn them by trial, though it wasn't difficult) I died and had the first shock when the application closed. A "game over" screen would have been nice! :') My next attempt was successful and I managed to defeat Dr. P. Geon, only for the application to close on me again :P so here are some thoughts: the art is really funny and the game is fully playable, which is a huge plus for a jam with a limited time as this one. I know designing sounds from scratch is hard, but sometimes a few library sounds go a long way to really enhance the gaming experience. End screen both for dying and winning would have been nice to have, but I can imagine the time was not on your part.
Good luck with the jam and with your future projects!
The app closing is actually a bug, there is a game over and win screen, but I couldn't fix it before the jam ended due to the bug being
slightlyreally inconsistent and me not being familliar with Godot's debug tools yet.
