How does your game fit the theme?
You play as the ball instead of the paddles in PONG, oh, and the paddles hate you now, so it's a micro-game survival.

Fake-out in the beginning is great! I really liked this take on reversed Pong because the mini games kept the gameplay fresh and new! I could definitely see a lot more being done with this, so I hope you do another release!

Developer

Yeah, there was a lot of cut content due to the Game Jam's time limit and other circumstances, but I'm still updating the game; I can't upload any new version due to the voting period. But there are still some ideas and tweaking to be had with this game. Anyways, thanks for playing!

lol i was originally expecting this to literally just be Pong but you control the ball and nothing else. that was a really unexpected twist :D all the animations are really well made, too. very well done! this game needs more ratings :)

Very good presentation, fun all around, gets the spirit of wario ware pretty well. Good job!

This one is really great! The style and music is awesome and the ideas are genius! Really appreciate that you came up with so many ways to "play pong". Great job! :)

A Pong-themed warioware. Can't so no to this. Visual and sound presentation is well done as well.

Wow, this is genuinely incredible! Was not expecting so much care from a "Pong" game. Everything from the style to the audio to just the emotion from the eyes/paddles really gives this game a special feeling! I'm pretty blown away by it!

One minor issue I had is at one point I think the game did glitch, and I was just left alone controlling the blue dot well everything else was frozen in place so I had to restart. The only other slight annoyance was initially for some games I didn't know what to do and died instantly, but this probably isn't a big issue this really after once or twice you get the hang of it.

But seriously well done on this! I'm super impressed with it! Great work!!

Developer

Thanks! About the restart bug, I already addressed it in another comment, but about the vague instructions prior to the microgame, I'll update it when the Game Jam ends to make it less vague. Thanks for playing!

This felt like a mix of Warioware (of course) and the Flowey fight from Undertale. Awesome work!

Great execution! Very groovy

Very creative! It reminds me a bit of undertale fighting mechanic. Nice art too, i love how simple and coherent it is, good job!!

I really love the concept. Very creative and the gameplay is very fun aswell. I now feel the pong ball's pain. Overall, great game!

Lots of personality, love it

cool game. Sound design and visual style are great. I encountered a bug where no minigames would start

Yeah, I noticed that two hours after the submission time. There are two types of variables (aside from bool, int, float, and string): normal and global. Usually, when the sprite carrier is destroyed or the scene is restarted/changed, the variables reset to their initial numbers. Global variables, on the other hand, are unaffected by the sprites or changed scenes, so they have to be reset manually. I remembered to reset the score but forgot to reset the lives and the speed counter, so the game got stuck once restarting the game to play again.

I already fixed this but I can't upload the new version until the GMKT Game Jam voting period ends. The only way to fix this at the moment would be to reset the page. Thanks anyways for playing!

Fantastic game. Very Warioware meets Undertale. I know I should be judging other games, but I can't stop.

Excellent execution of reverse pong, it reminds me of an Undertale boss fight. Also, I love the sequence (cutscene?) where the player gains control of the ball. Well done!
