I love the soundtrack! Especially how it picks up once you actually get going.

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I guess I'll have to find some sort of fix for that. Also, glad that you enjoyed the game, and thanks for all the feedback!

LOVE the atmosphere! Fantastic!

So, I wasn't able to play the game on the web, though I could download the HTML file itself and play that. The error message makes me think you may have not indicated to itch properly that this was an HTML?

Underneath the "Kind of Project" dropdown, you have to select "HTML" (this won't override any local desktop builds, so don't worry about that), and then underneath your uploaded files, there should be a checkbox saying "This file will be played in the browser".

Anyway, it is quite janky but, you know, I couldn't even finish most of my first projects, so you're doing way better than I was when starting out. The biggest issue for me is that some of the buttons don't do anything. But, however imperfect, it's always a success just being able to get a game finished. So, nicely done!

Honestly, the graphics were something I was a bit worried about, yeah. I had some settings for toggling the effects, but I didn't have much time for implementing a toggle for the pixelation.

Really clever interpretation of the theme! Although, I agree with your comment below that the UI is pretty dense. I think it'd be easier to parse if each control could be vertically aligned with their respective component at the top or bottom.

Very well done, for your first game jam especially! Though I will say, it is quite hard, and I wish there was a way to heal. But nevertheless, good job. A rougelike is an especially difficult genre to tackle.

Congratulations on releasing your first game!

Although I like the concept, there is quite a lot of information to parse on screen all at once, especially since it is all changing in real time and not everything feels important (like, it's hard to know what effect wind speed has or how it should factor into my decision of how fast I should be going). But anyway, I like the simplicity, and the vague threat of being chased by something unknown. Hopefully this critique has been helpful. Best of luck!

Very stylish, and I love the soundtrack! Although, once I got trapped in a corner by some enemies and couldn't get past. But regardless, well done, very nice vibe!

Okay, this is so silly and I love it! Managed to utterly annihilate the apple in under 4.3 seconds eventually, couldn't get it lower than that, though. My only gripe, really, is that I don't like how slow the transition to the store is, but other than that this is a really good entry!

Nice to finally get to play this, very well done with the particle effects!

Been working on a game called "Dreamscape" so this kind of jumped out at me, haha!

I really love the mood. Although, I will say, I didn't realize I could find the artifacts in the pillows, but I knew they could have health refills so I started trying to ration them, not realizing I was skipping out on the objective. Whoops.

Either way, nicely done!

Super satisfying! I love just how quickly things can get out of hand even when you think you're playing it safe.

I love the colors! Very cool, feels like the kind of stuff I would've played on Kongregate way back in the day.

I like the premise, though I think the game might be bugged? Clicking "promise" doesn't do anything on my end. I'm pretty sure if you contact the moderators, you're allowed to make fixes for game-breaking issues still.

Very good presentation, looks quite polished! However, I would advise having a way of turning off the level swaying effect, since it makes it difficult to focus on the level (and might cause motion sickness). Either way, very well done!

Is there supposed to be sound? Because it's completely silent, but there's an audio slider in the menu.

I like the concept, although using the consoles in first-person view is a bit tedious, especially with how small the buttons are. But either way, nicely done. I like the visual of the massive satellite dish turning around in the far distance especially.

From the Godot documentation (https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/rendering/renderers.html): "In this case, Compatibility is the only choice."

So, yeah, apparently you'll want to use Compatibility, not Mobile or Forward+. Neither of the others are meant to handle HTML5.

Also, if you want to make sure your game will run properly on the web, it's a good idea to go into the Export settings (from Project > Export...) and add a Web export preset to the menu prematurely (you might have to wait for some export templates to download first). After doing that, a new "Remote Debug" option will appear near the Run Project button, and you can use this to run a debug version of the game in your browser, just to test that the HTML5 will work before doing the actual export.

I would highly recommend consulting the documentation for anything else you need help with, since it explains much of the process way better than I can.

Very cool mechanic!

that was cool! o:

Man, this thing really deserves more ratings! Simple, but well put together. And although it's a subtle feature, I really appreciate how the camera automatically turns to face the driving direction.

Nicely done!

Yeah, auto-restart probably would've been wise, and wouldn't have been too difficult to implement. I just didn't think about it. Good suggestion!

Probably one of the most visually striking games I've played from this jam yet. Lovely work!

Really cool concept that kept me playing for quite a while! And being able to abbreviate commands is a much appreciated quality-of-life feature. Though, the text is a little difficult to read with how dark it is. But overall, nicely done!

I love the graphics and the color scheme. Very cute!

This is very polished! The graphics are adorable, and I love the stealth mechanics. The game communicates things really well, like how much sound you're making every time you jump.

Also, really cool to see a Mikecicle reference on the bulletin board!

Really cool! Audio is used well, and it's quite unsettling having to run from tree to tree, hoping the monster isn't right behind you. The text is a bit hard to read, though. But overall, great work!

Hey, that's a pretty good time! Glad you enjoyed it!

I love how sometimes you can use the freezing to your own advantage. Very neat mechanic! I had a lot of fun.

Come to think of it, it reminds me a little of my game as well.

Really fun interpretation of the theme. And I love the music! Also, lots of accessibility options!

I found a minor bug where you could still move with the mouse after clearing a stage, but it's hardly game-breaking.

Gameplay mechanics are a bit hard to understand, but I love the visual aesthetic. Has a nice, abstract vibe, like I've entered a strange, dreamlike dimension.

Pretty chaotic gameplay, though I enjoyed it. Nice work!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Yeah, level 7 can be pretty tough. I added a secret code to unlock every stage just in case anyone gets stuck but still wants to see the ending: the last stage is (hopefully) way easier to do.

Love the visual style. Very cute!

It's such a simple mechanic, but it works so nicely. And the music and artwork are lovely as well. Overall, very nice!

Took me a little bit to understand the meters and what I was supposed to be doing, but I figured it all out fairly quick. I really love the visuals and music, and the gameplay's pretty satisfying. Nicely done!

Didn't get to this during the jam, but this is very nicely done! The flinging mechanic feels satisfying to do, and although it's very difficult, it's not unfair or inconsistent. I wasn't able to climb all the way to the top, but I think I made it pretty far.

Such a cute artstyle and relaxing music for such a hectic game! It's maybe a bit too overwhelming, but it's definitely a good concept, and I find the gameplay quite compelling, despite how difficult it is. I managed to just barely miss the 3 minute mark and get a green thumb!

I like how you interpreted the theme here, and the gameplay and artwork are well done! Progression mechanics are always really fun. Although, the itch app wasn't able to understand the executables on their own so I had to download it from the web. I got that "cannot read 'build' property of undefined" error: I believe this often happens when the uploaded files aren't set to their respective platforms.

Either way, nice work! And I love the visual style: reminds me of old flash games.
