Really clever interpretation of the theme! Although, I agree with your comment below that the UI is pretty dense. I think it'd be easier to parse if each control could be vertically aligned with their respective component at the top or bottom.
I agree. If I continue working on it, redoing the UI to fit the controls along the top and bottom is at the top of my list.
