Pretty good game, very enjoyable and pretty polished

I had a lot of fun figuring out an optimal recruitment path, very well polished game!

I had a great time, beat all the levels. I wish there was a little more strategy in which civilians you went for, as I think right now it's more figuring out the optimal path to take-- regardless, it was a lot of fun. Shooting felt satisfying, my only complaint is that the cursor was quite difficult to see. Also, I'm not sure if this is just Itch being weird, but the game wouldn't go into fullscreen.

Great job!

If you get a chance to check out my game, that'd be appreciated! :)

I don't know if this is different on different operating systems or browsers, but on my computer the mouse cursor on the menu screen was nearly invisible (black on a black background).

Other than that… interesting take on the theme, but maybe not my type of game?  Both in terms of theme (I'm not into military stuff) and gameplay (I'm not good at it).

Original idea, the whoel recruiting thing! I didn't feel like I actually needed the recruits to beat the baddies though!

Really makes you feel like a war criminal

This makes me think back to playing games on miniclip many years ago, great job!

A really interesting and unique take on the theme and good execution! I really enjoyed the mechanics and overall design! The AI could be improved a bit, but nevertheless a great game!

love the idea and overall execution, i would love to see the soundtrack throughout the levels instead of just on the level select and credit screen and maybe some more varied colouration in the allies and enemies as well as varying the types of allies and enemies. but overall this was really fun and i would love to see some more levels

Nice concept, the graphics are really well done, the guns feel impactful and the recruiting makes the game more interesting than a top down shooter.

I had a bit of trouble distinguishing the enemy from my soldiers which got me killed many times, maybe tweak the colors a bit so they stand out more?

Also, it would be nice to have even more people to recruit because the mayhem it creates when 2 groups clash is really fun.

This game is amazing. Although i would like the AI to be better. They seem to wander aimlessly most of the time. As their commander it would be useful to issue orders to them.

I really like the main mechanic, it's action-oriented but with an estrategic element to it, I love this type of stuff. Very nicely polished too, with fitting visuals and sounds and a good feel to the shooting.

I think this could work as full game with you ever decide to expand it.

Interesting spin on a top down shooter. It was satisfying to recruit a bunch of people and watch them work! It felt strange that kills were worth more than recruits - it might work better the other way around to motivate the player to engage with the unique new mechanic, but scores don't matter much anyways so that's a really minor thing.

The shooting felt really heavy and good too, that's something that's easy to mess up but it worked great here!

:) Very fun! Smooth gameplay. I felt compelled to keep playing one more level…

Fun graphics, good sounds.

I found that I tended to run straight through a level as fast as possible, in an attempt to reach the enemy before the multiplied too much, so I didn’t really get to appreciate the level design much!

Hey, this was actually way better than I expected! AI was probably the most important thing in game, I liked that AI knows how to camp, hide, aim, etc. Time well wasted

The most funny game I've played in this jam. I spent almost 1 hour for it.

No recruit! I want to kill all enemies myself!

Submitted(+2)

Very fun game, the sound design and polish is great. Even the difficulty which is usually the hardest part to get right was good. I also liked that by recruiting you would make the game easier but lose points.

To add some negatives to this, I would probably make the game a bit faster as it felt pretty tedious if you died multiple times in one level and had to slowly walk back to the action.

"You died more than i expected" yep, for sure :D this is a really fun game. It's awesome how much polish you guys did in such a short time. All the levels felt super good.

Thanks! Somehow this is the most polished game I've made, even though I made it in less than two days

The game feels really nice and it is just the right amount hard.

Developer

Thanks! I was afraid it'd be too hard for most people

Very original game idea!

As someone with basically no experience in top-down-shooter games I had quite a hard time at first. But being quick and smart about recruiting seems just as, if not more, important than shooting.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Recruiting civilians is te safest way, but killing enemies yourself grants more points.

It's kinda funny how we practically introduced each other to different genres. I had never touched a rhytm game before CONGAPOSE
