This is pretty interesting! I appreciate that the player character shoots automatically, there's already so much I have to watch out for. It takes a couple of lives just to get the hang of handling both controls, but it's cool to see how high the skill ceiling is! Good work :)
Yeah! Took me some time to realize that manually shooting was gonna be too much of a hassle when youre already moving around two things at once. Big thank you for your great comment :)
This is a pretty original idea! Really fun and perfectly implemented. Good job :)
Oh thanks! I really tried hard to make something not as obviously tied to the theme. Thanks for playing!
had great fun playing this for a bit, good job :)
Thank you for the feedback!
This is a super fun idea! I gets chaotic very quickly and even though that's probably the intention, I would appreciate it if the game was a bit slower. Great work overall, I really enjoyed playing it.
Thanks! I'm taking note of slowing it down a peg haha. I'm glad you enjoyed!
Hahahah I just learned that I suck at tetris. This concept is really cool though! Maybe the blocks could have fallen a tad bit slower, so you have more time to think about your next move.
I will consider adding a difficulty option post jam~ (And an actual game menu) I do get the blocks are falling too fast comment a lot haha. Thanks for playing!
Hahahah I just learned that I suck at tetris. This concept is really cool though! Maybe the blocks could have fallen a tad bit slower, so you have more time to think about your next move.
That is an amazing idea and really polished. I would say that it might have been nice to have the blocks crush the enemies as well, it would have added another element to the game, do you crush these enemies over here, or use the blocks to fit in somewhere else to create a line.
Really great stuff.
Oh they do!!! Well kinda. The brick my spawn a new one, but at least it keeps their population down. The brick can crush you too, so watch out for that. Thanks for playing!
Nice combination of games put together! Definitely a bit brain bendy, but cool to play once you get the hang of it. Solid presentation, nice music and cool idea!
Thank you!
Good presentation, but I didn't really understand the gameplay.
thank you! Sorry the game itself was confusing. I hope you had a bit of fun though!
Nice concept and a really cool aesthetic :D
Like a few others, I was disappointingly bad at it! But I had fun, nevertheless!
Thanks!
I'm sure you did fine :) Happy to hear you had fun!
The game's art style is sooooo goood!
Oh thank you!
What he said \/
Great idea! Also the art and the music fits really well.
Pretty hard to play though because the blocks fall too fast and the controls are a bit confusing. I didn't even know you can move the falling blocks for the first minute. Maybe slow down the falling blocks and gradually increase the speed of the blocks, and also explain the control scheme to the player.
Thanks for playing!
I was really considering a difficulty menu and a start screen but I was starting to run out of steam. I put basic controls in the game itself for you to figure it out, and made additional instructions in the game page itself. I'll fix those up for when the voting period ends :)
The game's really fun!
I'm just really bad at it.
yay! I'm sure you did great :)
awesome ideia! great exec!
my character got stuck under the tetris pieces x)
Definitely a valid strategy! Thanks for the feedback :)
It was fun to multi-task, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere that the music creates!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed :) By the way the music is from Anttis Instrumentals. Lots of great free music to use.
Very well made game! It's a little tricky to wrap my head around doing both things at once, but overall the concept is solid! Art is great and music fits well.
Thanks! I had to cut a few things, like aiming, upgrades, and enemies actively chasing you and really tweaked the timings so both mechanics felt playable, but not too slow. Thanks you for the feedback!
I'm a big fan of this concept and I really like your take on the theme!
I took a few moments for me to fully grasp and understand the controls and mechanics, at first I didn't even know who I was playing as, heh.
But overall, good art, really interesting take on the theme once you understand it, and in general a good game!
Oh hey! I'm really happy to see you again, and I'm happy to read your comment. The beauty is your playing both! Can't just leave one part on its own. But I do also recommend playing with a player 2~ Thanks again for your feedback :D
No problem and thanks for the tip, it's good to see you too again!
Cheers!
i'm a fan of the art style, but i think the game bugs out with the speed of the moving blocks since it increases too fast for me to move. that, and i'm no good at multi-tasking with the blocks and the player... still, it's an interesting idea and i appreciate the effort :)
I'm sorry you played the real fast version ;-; I think it should be fixed now :) I don't think anyone would be able to multiplayer with how fast it was going haha
it's alright, thanks for fixing it
This is really cool! I don't know if I am doing something wrong but later in the game when I use the arrow keys the blocks don't move very much! The art style is amazing! And the game feels very polished! Great work!
aw thank you. I fixed that before the deadline! My difficulty timer ramped up too quickly ;-; sorry!
