I loved the concept of using the joined mechanic as a hindrance and a benefit. You really didn't want to be joined that way since the platforming felt better, but you needed the big brute to smash thru the level. The only real complaint I had was the controls when joined together since the game started to lag pretty heavily and made it near impossible to make some jumps. There might have been some optimization issues with the code to lead to that since I noticed how bloated the game file size was. Typically a game like this would be around 40MB or under and this is surpassing 130MB.

I played it here:

This is a truly wonderful game, and the presentation was fantastic. Loved the king, loved the knight, and picking up those gems felt amazing. The movement feels a little floaty and slidey, and I felt like I slide off platforms I didn't want to, but that's a minor problem in a great experience. Loved it.
(As a note: I played with a controller)

Good concept ! Loved the game design. The knight has some abilities as well as it restricts us by taking some brisk movements from us. The same does the levels. Very cool . Loved it.

Despite the fact that I was an idiot and ran it off my USB drive, I had a lot of fun playing this!! The music is good, the visuals poped, and it feels great to play.  I did get the bonus horde at the end despite how tough and how many tries it took!!

Great work with hit effect. Also fun idea.

This is probably my favorite interpretation of the theme. The level design supports this idea too, just wish that the controls better fit the platforming. Great job!

fantastic all round package with the final level / puzzle making the systems shine.  A great piece feels like it could be built out into a full game

Hello! Cute game and the polish on feedback animations makes it shine! The long jump on the way to the throne room was a juicy surprise!

Cool entry! I just think the jump is a little bit uncontrollable for a platformer, but still a great game!

Simple and beautiful mechanics. I really like the pixel arts. I thought the knight was an enemy at the begening, take me a little time to figure out he is the friend, cool game I like it !

Loved the art style! Really great idea on the jam concept, amazing how much you managed to get done in just 48 hours!

Some small feedback would be on volume the first helper you pick up makes a quite loud constant spinning sound, this fits the theme well, but can be quite discomforting, I would suggest turning this down a little and having it be more subtle :D

But the animations on the movements looked and worked great, timing on the jumps felt good! I liked the ability to disconnect by going under fans that was a really well executed and cool idea!

Best of luck on the votes!

Really cute and polished, especially for a 2 day jam!

Really well made and polished. Maybe in a full release there could be other characters that also want to help you and give you different ups and downs. Great game. Well done!

This is super polished! The controls feel great, and smashing into stuff felt super satisfying.

Very well done! It's almost hard to believe such a polished product can be produced in 48 hours! The controls, presentation, and level design are phenomenal!

This game is immensely satisfying to play! The controls are weighty, the platforming feels right, and the presentation is just so dang cute! Tremendous job to everyone who worked on this game!
