Very nice game! I like the original concept to link your health with the environment. It was kind of confusing at first to seemingly do the same actions (ie. step on the same tiles) and sometimes die and other times survive, so as a tip I would make the health display a more prominent thing as it is kind of hard to notice right now. But other than that very well done!

Developer

Thanks!  That's a completely fair point.  By the time I found a better solution than just having the health on the bottom of the screen it was too late to fix it in time.

Lovely puzzle game! Nice art and  good concept.

This is brilliant. Great puzzles but nothing so tough that I ever felt lost or too frustrated. Excellent job integrating your tutorials into the gameplay!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much!  I like trying to make the tutorials as organic as possible, so I'm glad it worked out.

Very nice puzzle game, I liked it!
At first, I wasn't sure it really fitted the theme, but I see now where the "joining" part is

The levels are very well made, they act as both a puzzle and a progressive tutorial, it felt great to find the floor's solution everytime!

Very good job!

Simple but effective art. Very original concept and great level design!

Very smart puzzler !

The level design is so clever, it teaches you the mechanics progressively and then challenges your newly gained knowledge with clever puzzles. The aesthetic is quite simple yet effective at communicating what each element is doing. Congrats! <3

This is an innovative meeting of the theme.

I would purchase this game, which I guess is as good a review as you can get!

what works well:

  • The art style is very pure.  By this I mean that it doesn't give the player any visual 'noise'.
  • The mechanics are smooth, easy to follow, and progress. This helped me not feel like the game stagnates. I would complete all of the levels, but I am trying to limit the time I play on each game.
  • Loving the sound design, allthough I am aware that you didn't create the audio. Regardless, it fits with the game.

My only recommendation that I can think of, and I say this aware of the fact that you made this in 48 hours, would be a set of colour blind options.

Good luck, and I really hope/think this makes it to the top 100!

Developer

Thanks!  I did make the sound effects, just not the music.  A color blind mode would be nice, but for time I tried to ensure that no critical information is indicated by color alone.

I think more people should try out your games, this game has so many more potentials than its look. From the art, the level design to the difficulty and game balancing, all were so perfect, I'd wish for a bit faster movement for fast-paced puzzle solving, but since the levels are small (and there's a lot of them), speed is not as important :D. I wish you would develop more of this game and bring it into full released shape!

You are actually a hidden gem, this is legit the most fun I had.

Wow this game is so innovative! I had a wow moment realizing the pattern on the box and the level tiles. Excellent entry! I wish I could reset when I did something wrong but I didn't know how to, so I had to retry all again but that was worth it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!  I'm glad you liked it.  This is absolutely the kind of game that should have an undo button, but given the time, the best I could do was a level reset button.

If this isn't at least a top 100 game, I'd be surprised. No critiques. You've done phenomenally and I hope you know it.

Developer

Thank you so much!  My fingers are crossed for getting into the top 100.

This game was freakin' fun as hell. Love it, love it, love it. Perfect game jam puzzler! The pacing was exactly right.

Developer

Thank you so much!  I worked a lot on the pacing of levels, so I'm glad that came through.

A cool mechanic that led to interesting puzzles. Nice game!

Interesting concept! Fun puzzle game. Love the music as well

Developer

Thanks!  I've used Rolemusic's music for my past three GMTK jam submissions; it's great stuff.

Nice puzzle game!

Took me a minute to get how the "Healing/Block" system worked, but when it snaped, it was very clever!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much!  I was worried it might be a bit confusing, so I'm glad it clicked for you.
