Solid entry, felt more like key mashing around the area then trying to hit the correct key. Perhaps a punishment for hitting the wrong key might be a good addition?

really nice game! I did end up doing as what I see some other commenters did and just mashed the keyboard so maybe you could penalise the player for pressing a key that doesn't have an enemy on it. Still a very solid submission and I had a lot of fun with it!

Really like this game's sound effects, first off - I found both the clicking sounds of the keyboard and destroying an enemy to be very satisfying to listen to. The colour-coding of the keyboard is also a nice touch that helps make what's going on be nice and readable. The day-night cycle gave me a chuckle when I noticed it and I liked the change in music that came with it, too! Gameplay is simple and fun, the idea is a neat and original one, just a great game. Nice work! :D

Thank you! I actually had to record them myself since all sound effects i found were of people typing rapidly and not just one key XD

Very interesting! I love the art and the audio fits really to the game. The game also fits to the theme because it became really out of control. But I think you could just spam on the keyboard so kill all enemies so I wish there would be a system to prevent players from spaming. Great game tho! Good Job!

This is an interesting concept. The music was very loud but was good and the visuals are good. The ants(?) were not really visible when crawling into position as they are black bugs on black keys, and a drop shadow for the spiders would help a lot too. The idea is there and at the beginning it's enjoyable to try and keep track of everything,  but ultimately once it because chaotic to a certain point I was just mashing my keyboard which was not super satisfying

I see. Thank you. I already lowered the music since i admit i might have accidentally had my earphones accidentally lower than usual XD. As for the ants, yeah,  i'm gonna replace them with red ants (they're cooler anyways). Do you think a "health bar" for keys that if you mash them too hard they stop working or a "combo" system where if you press only the correct keys you get rewarded would be a better incentive to press correctly?

A combo reward could be really good to encourage that, but I just felt like so many keys needed pressed at once that it was functionally the same

So it was a great game with a spectacular difficulty curve it flowed up so nicely that I as soon as I made a mistake I realized instantly how fast it had actually gotten.    good feedback and excellent little distractors from the main enemy flow.    I was partially going to say that it doesn't fit the theme, but seeing your answer it really couldn't more literally fit it :D

Fun little game! Felt like there wasn't much punishment for just mashing everything though. If you could "Encourage" the player to try and be more precise it would improve the game.

Yeah, i thought of a combo or that keys had a cooldown, but it's kinda too late to change it noow, haha, next time i'll try to remove exploit, thanks!

nice game, i think its better disabel shift kery because if you press it 5 times your enable the special keys windows and stop the game, i love this game

 I broke the high score. I figured a strategy in this where I was just pressing the U,H,B keys constantly that would just kill all the bugs in all three rows and then I just had to focus on the flying insects. Rest all was covered by just spamming these three keys. I don't know if it was intended but I felt real smart :P

It is such a brilliant game and so well done. Would love to see a full game out of this concept at some point. :)

It was not, however, a strategy is a strategy!  Thank you, maybe i'll complete in the future with more in-depth mechanics, but who knows
