Nice game here! I liked how the use of one screen and warping around it could be tactically used. The enemy ships seemed as if they have no inertia, when the player warped they changed the direction immediately, and that was somehow confusing. Keep up the good work!
Asteroid version of the idea of only one bullet. Cool music also!
Thanks - glad you enjoyed the tune!
There are many games in the jam using "only one shot" as their mechanic. The bullet teleporting to the other side of the screen is a neat take on that, though! I found it a bit disorienting where the bullet is gonna end up, I'm not sure why, perhaps because the bounding box for the bullet is slightly larger than the screen and there's a bit of offset when it comes on the other side? The score is also bugged, it adds the previous run, even though it displays 0 at first. All in all, great entry!
I believe Construct's wrap behavior waits until the entire collider has left the screen before wrapping the object, which will cause the slight delay. Thanks for letting me know about the score bug - that was an oversight on my part. Glad you enjoyed it!
great execution of a simple idea!
I quite liked the game, but for some reason I wasn't able to move my mouse while using WASD to move so I felt hampered. Still fun though.
Nevermind, I had turned a setting which disabled the touchpad while typing.
Glad you figured it out and enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing!
Interesting take on the only one bullet idea! Agree that it reminds me of Asteroids. Well done.
Probably killed more luring them into the bullet than from actually shooting XD
It's a good strategy for sure! Thanks for playing.
I feel this is asteroid's hardcore mode! Nice concept, nice execution, but quite hard. I think the reason why I found it hard is because while it was clearly inspired by asteroids, and plays very well, it has a different control scheme, where left is always left on screen coordinates rather than on the ship coordinates. I like it, and the sound effects and music sells it very well!
Really nice and addictive game. I love the mechanic. It's also cool that you can lead enemies into your bullet's path and kill them that way. I like it a lot! :D
Also, graphics look really good.
