Great idea! I think about the only thing I would really add is a timer that shows 1 second counting down, just as a neat visual indicator. Also, the bar on the left could use better icons, as it can be a bit unclear on whats going on for the first time.

Nice game you have here! Well done :)

Very unique boxing game! I included it in my GMTK Game Jam 2019 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I had no idea what I was doing until it suddenly clicked.

Thanks, I hate it. xD

I wrote at the game page that you could make more powerful but less probable punches, that's it. Didn't get at first that it's good to show it to a player in game, at least as a text. So, you could always make the strongest punches but it's faster to punch few times not so strong but 100% sure. I understand that I didn't mention an absolutely not obvious information. Thanks for the comment.

I was a bit confused at first but luckily the enemy didn't kill me before I realized what to do. I gotta say, the space bar is not the best button to mash repeatedly!
But great use of the theme and is actually really clever design and really challenging at first (but it gets easier once you figure it out).

A bit simplistic, gets repetitive fast, the shielding face is well implemented but i dont find a difference between smashing the space bar or choosing a spot when attacking, the time frame is really narrow. Wouldnt say keep working on it because i dont see much potential in the game, but i see potential in the dev, so i say keep on working on games.

Theme, it fits, you only have one shared hp bar and boxers play one turn at a time.

Originality, this is where it shines, implementing the theme in the UI is very creative and it shows that the dev was really thinking.

This is a surprisingly great use of the theme. The UI is at the beginning a bit confusing and i had to read the instructions twice but after I understood the mechanics, it was fun to play. This is a very nice one! Very well done :)

Thanks for your feedback! I guess, I should use the center of the screen to show valueable information for players (and more understandable instructions, of course). I definitely will change it, thanks again!

You're welcome :) Yeah, it sounds like it could be an good improvement.

A pretty interesting gamae with a simple idea and smooth gameplay. However, there are some problems with UX, as I can't understand what step of the fight right now from the first sight.

Very good game overall, but a bit too simple. Very original and correctly respects the "one" with only one button to play.
However, the attack phase both lacks clarity and impact on the gameplay.
The presence of the settings menu is a really good point, indicating of the polish of the game, that far too few games have.

Really Good game overall, even though it is too simple, and need a clearer way to convey its intentions to the player.

The ending screen was very entertaining, thank you lol.

The mechanic was clunky, but it felt right to actually fumble a bit in a fight. That's not something that most games provide. The moment when I misread an incoming 2 attack as a three, messed up and only got two presses in, and miraculously blocked the swing felt excellent!

Also I really like having a unified health bar between sides. It doesn't make sense for everything, but it works for this, and I think it's a mechanic that deserves a bit more sunshine.

Thanks for playing! I imagined the healthbar like its value is not health but a desire to win. I thought about bloodborne where you can return some health with dealing damage when you get hurt. I liked it and wanted to make similar aspect of HP.

The game was pretty fun and had some cool mechanics and really followed the theme. The one problem  with it in my opinion was the lack of replay ability in the game. If you do plan to imporve on this game, I would recommend adding new fighters with different fighting styles to improve on that one issue. But besides that, the game was a lot of fun to play.

Developer

We planned to make three rounds for the fight but deadline was coming :D Thanks for your opinion, we will improve the game. Adding slightly different mechanics for fighting styles would be really good!

The ending pleased :)
