Incredibly fun! Only thing I was confused about was the meter in the bottom left. It didn't seem like it did anything and I couldn't make it run out when I tried. Got to around 18k I think, and it was fun managing the ships to be efficient while trying to keep satisfaction up (even if it did nothing, lol). Writing was also very nice and helped set the world. Overall, really enjoyed my time with this.

I think this game is nice, with a really cool gameplay loop, but I also think that it needs a lot more to really flesh itself out for real. My major issues with this game are that after you break her out of the hub thing, and shes fully planetoid, there's kinda not much to do after. Like, I get that planetary wg is all about just getting bigger and bigger, but it's kinda boring if there's not much visual change outside of scaling up. And that can happen really fast, like I think it took me about an hour or so to get her to planetoid status, and after that it was just watching a PNG get bigger, which is where I mentally checked out. If there was a bit more to do after that, or maybe more to do in actual space to make it not just going back and forth, I'd be more interested but for what it is right now, its just ok.
6/10
This game's pretty good! I really like Jody's design and I love how fat she gets ^w^ it's also wonderful having a character be so into the weight gain and gluttony. It felt a little... brain drain-y to me at times, which I don't much enjoy, but eh, just a taste thing.
Gameplay-wise this game is adequate. I liked being dropped into it, uncertain of how anything worked - there's a cool period of discovery there. However, exploration quickly became pointless as the only things to find are stations, and there are so few types that you only need to venture out slightly before you've discovered everything you'll need. I'm not a fan of idle games either, so I wasn't very enthused by the gameplay once I understood it. Having a persistent reason to travel would've been great!
Along with like... Sweet Dreams, this was one of the blushier entries for me so far. I think the writing is great, the drawings are great, and the integration of the "travel" theme is good! It's also decently creative c: I quite liked this game!
It does strike me as rather unfinished though. That there's an ending according to another comment was a surprise to me - I went a fair while without any new dialogue or any new art (although she did grow without updating the art once or twice) - and I think that's where it shows the most. I'd assume the intent was to have bits of dialogue more consistently on the way to the ending? Bit of a shame. I sorta wish that the numbers had been rebalanced so that she reaches that final stage shortly before whatever the ending is, but that may not have been feasible with the allotted time. A great effort regardless!
Nice put together concept. Interesting twist on the management game, I like the automation aspect of it.
It'd be nice to have some earlier weight stages to see progress a bit more earlier on. The controls are a bit floaty as well. It'd be great to have the space stations post-fixed with their size or something for selecting in the list. Maybe a way to upgrade the engines for travel speed or fuel/dump rate of existing ships after purchase as a future add-on?
This game is really nice, the beginning was a bit confusing for me though and I'm uncertain what the maximum size is. I very much enjoy the mc's design though!
Wow, what a gorgeous game! You're clearly very skilled at both 2D and 3D art! No notes, huge fan
I really wish I could play it but it doesn't seem to be working on my end...
It's a fun idle/factory management game. While its still very much a prototype with a small video processing glitch with opengl that was fixable with a shortcut directory (something I imagine that can be very easily fixed when given some additional time.) Ohterwise, its very very fun, the art is top notch, the game play is addicting where I wish there was more. Text is small but really, for all the drawbacks, the gameplay really kept me going.
There's supposed to be dialogue when the sprite changes! If this is happening to you, launch the game with the argument: "-l en-US"
This can be done by creating a shortcut and adding that to the end or opening up command prompt and adding it there. It should look something like "<path to game>\pizza_planet.exe -l en-US"
Fun little game, very tempted to leave it going overnight to see how big she'll get before the game crashes lol. My only gripes were the list of stations being a bit tedious to scroll through and (and this is just me being nitpicky) the weight listed seeming a bit low compared to the gargantuan sizes. I'm a big fan of these active games that slowly turn into management/idler types, very nicely reflects the slow transformation into a planetary blob.
(EDIT: Looks like there's an end after all! Though I do wonder if it's hard coded or because I ended up being too slow...)
the game resolution is too big, the buttons in the main menu don't fit completely, although in the game itself everything seems fine... but the most important thing is that I didn't figure out the controls, I rolled around the keyboard and could only find the button, the WASD controls don't work (nothing happens)
For being a prototype. I cannot help but feel like this one has the biggest potential. the systems are in place, the music is good enough to leave on repeat. Number go up goodness with the theme of transportation and transit of pizza in place.
my only issue is that renaming stations for organization purposes only applies for newly constructed ships
I love it! I'm a big fan of management games and space games, and this combines both, so it's got my full approval! There's four things I can think of that I'd like to see for this. First, the ability to sort the menus for ships and stations by category, like sorting the stations by size or distance in particular. Second, I'd like to have an option to make the subject camera window bigger, and maybe to zoom it out more so they're fully in frame. Third, upgrades to your main ship might be cool, like more capacity, more speed/acceleration/handling, and so on. And fourth, probably the most obvious one... bigger stages! I know at the end point there isn't much more to change, but I can always hope for them to get even blobbier and rollier or something, lol
Best of luck on the Game Jam! I really think you've got a contender here!
