  • Fun animations and an engaging story.
  • I was both surprised and impressed by the character animations. It made this stand out much more than most other daz visual novels.
  • An interesting set up for a story and interpretation of the theme as well. Sound design would definitely help flesh this out to be a more well rounded experience as the silence perforated by sound effects occasionally feels a bit disconcerting. I also feel like the dialogue could use a little punch up to sound more natural as well. All in all, would like to see this get developed a bit more post-jam!

Same thing as Muck mage just below. Except that I would add that for certain shots the characters are a little disproportionate compared to the scene. Otherwise it plays quietly.

Which background did you think was too small/big? I probably could fix it, the backgrounds I made for this were oversampled and designed to be zoomed in further to adjust this balance, but, as time ran out, none of the image's zoom levels were adjusted at all...

It's been over 2 weeks since I've had that in mind. I just remember the opening scene with the fireplace.

Seems like a fun idea, but yeah it was a little short. I think with a little background music and a little more length it'd be really nice. Everything that was there was quality, and the renders were good!

Thanks! Yeah, we were just overly ambitious with the scope and time. Happy with what we put together, it came in hot! But could see things continuing later maybe. Will give it some thought, reception has been good, thank you for the comments! So, that does help. I should post the initial mapped out story tree I had put together on that game's Weight Gaming thread.

Alright, this one is solid! Simple VN style, decent looking sprites, gameplay choices that crate branching paths. Biggest detractor is it's length, you can finish first run in ten minutes and then see everything else in another ten. But this is also a game jam game, so a short experience is expected.
4/5, sound design could use some touching up and it could use an 'end of current content' screen. But I'm finding myself hoping that there will be more updates post jam, could be fun to see where this goes.

Thanks for your great comment! Yup, we were definitely a bit ambitious with the scope of our narrative and plans for the jam 馃槀. Good idea on the end of current content screen, didn't think about it in the last bits as we were trying to wrap up where we were.
