Congrats on winning, lad ! You deserve it lol
YIPPPPPIEEEEEE THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! π€©π
Oh wow I was not ready for that. Sound design was so well done! Really great showing of what GDevelop can do.
Thank you so much! That makes me so happy and means so much to me π€©
I'm so glad you enjoyed it π
I tried doing something similar to what you did for the audio on the main menu once, but couldnβt get it quite right. It really sets the atmosphere for the game
Wow, your game is AMAZING too! I enjoyed every "second" of it π and would have played for much longer! So I'll be checking out the full version when it's out. It was maybe a tiny bit too dark (the symbol on the left gave me some trouble), but it's part of the experience.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked itπ
I've been told a few times that in some parts it's a bit too dark, so in the full version I'll be adding a lil brightness slider so people with darker monitors can see better ππ
This game is really cool! There isn't really too much gameplay though, and I feel like a little more could be done with this really cool idea. I like the mystery and lore elements such as the door knock and the phone call, they added a lot more depth to the game, and I would love to see this be expanded into a full commercial project!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it! I'm already working on more and a giant full version update should be ready and out by the end of the rating periodπ
I would have done more for the jam version but I joined a lil late and time constraints made me shorten the scope a bit, granted though most games in this jam are really short because of the time we had to work lol
Good job! I really enjoyed this submission! Managed to find them all. Was expecting some form of jumpscare in the end.
Would have been cool to have some more weird noise and maybe something on the side that just moves a few pixels to freak out the player a bit.
I found the whole video sequence to be excellent, the use of the theme with two buttons where really good one of the best I've seen.
Really enjoyed the audio as well, the knocks on door etc made me look at my door that was completely open haha!
All in all, really nice and solid work!
Thank you so much! I am so happy to hear you loved it π€©
Also funny enough there is actually a part where there is noise followed by a quick movement lol
If you look out the window quickly after hearing the first knocking sound, you'll see a figure's silhouette quickly run pastπ
My rating: Fun&Design 3, Audio 2, Graphics 5, Originality&Innovation 5, Theme 5
And please rate my game, Optimal Clicker. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for playing! I'm honestly really surprised about your score for audio since that is one of the main highpoints of my game, it really contributes to the atmosphere and a lot of other comments on my game say that the audio is really good.
Also I've already rated your game lol
Amazing, other than there is no explanation for why we look at this tape or the ending.
My Rating:
Fun: X X X - -, Sound: X X X X X, Looks: X X X X X, Idea: X X X X X, Theme: X X X X X
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it π
As for the ending, it's currently implied in the phone call that the player is actually just paranoid and is trying to validate it by isolating themself and looking for connections in things that realistically have none deep down. Though I do plan on extending the game more after the jam to better show that ππ
Excellent game. I love horror games and this was great.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear you like it π
Stefano, if you made this in just 10 hours, it deserves to be expanded into a full, spooky game.
Great atmosphere and you really nailed the theme, good luck with the jam and future projects
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it π
As for the 10 hours, I was just havin one of those nights where I couldn't sleep and then while scrolling on my phone I saw the weekend jam but I was already like a day late lol. So I got up at like 11pm and started speed-run making it until about 8am in the morning when I finished it and passed out π€£
Honestly working on it so late at night tho alone in my dark room really helped me create the atmosphere in the game and the whole feeling of not being sure if things you're seeing are real (more specifically with your eyes playing tricks on you and seeing shadows)
Really interesting concept, it must have been fun picking all the audio and visuals for it. And yeah definitely a lot more you can add to it after the jam is over. Great job.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it π
As for the video tape visuals a lot of them I made myself except for a few free stock footage parts that I edited and added sound effects or a voice overπ
Even more impressive!
Hehe Thank you π€©π
This was awesome reminded me of a game I used to jam ! Also I have never seen a 3d object with a video inside of it this is new to me.
I'm so happy that you like it! π
I gotta say I absolutely loved the game idea and atmosphere. fantastic Job!
Thank you so much! It makes me so happy to hear that you loved it π€©π
Really nice game with good atmosphere. Goes well with the theme. Rated :)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it π
pfff, the game is already promoted in gd games. It's sooo good and atmospheric, i'm speechless.
Thank you so much! That means so much to me and I'm so happy you enjoyed it π
This is actually flawless... The pixel filter option was interesting, definitely more atmospheric with it on!
Great use of the theme, very unique design and gameplay overall!
Thank you so much! I am so happy you loved it π€©π
I also 100% agree with keeping the pixel filter on, in my head that is the "proper" way of playing itπ
sorry man, don't know how to rate your game, I can't play scary game. :(
It's okay lmao, I still really appreciate the comment π
Very good prototype!! Hoping to see more of it.
I'm so glad you like it! I'm really excited to add more to it after the jam too π
this is so good for the time frame..
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it π
