The game is fun, but there's a few things i don't understand :

If you can't die, and there is no leaderboard, what is the 'dodging' bar for ? Also am some points when the gray cat goes down if you look up you can see a part of the screen(like in one of the screenshots). Was this on purpose ?

Developer(+1)

thanks ! Yes, everything is on purpose, i had fun with the camera. And i didn't want a game over, but i wanted a way to see the "life" approximately, just to have an idea of the level. I wanted to had a "score" like perfect, good, bof or bad depending on the dodging, but didn't hd time so i put a bar instead (i thought it would be better than nothing).

This is an impressive and innovative concept. Well done!

Super neat idea for the theme, and I like the hand-drawn cats a lot 😁 I think it could have stood out even more visually if you had drawn the other sprites in the same style. Cool game!

This is actually a pretty cool concept. Nice work!

10/10 ending would play again

Feels like something you'd see in WarioWare (like those boss microgames?) Pretty fun keeping track of both cats, and it looked like you had fun with those cameras!

The meter emptying doesn't do anything, so you can win by basically doing nothing (it's also not really a rhythm game since the jumps and hedgehogs spawning in aren't in beat with the music). The target also confused me since the jumps would still sometimes work off of it, making it harder for me to get that I had to click on it now, and the game also needs sound effects too.

Developer

hey ! i wanted to let anyone see the end, even with no rythm. It's easy to die and people won't replay it 15 time. In an other context i would make a game over but i think it's not necessary here, i just wanted that everyone can experience the differents waves.

it's suppose to be in rythm, with me it's working just fine but i will try it on another computer to find the problem. thanks. sometimes it's because the player left the page in the background and come back, it mess with the chrono (so the rythm)

Very hard yet fun! Note: when your bar drains, nothing happens...

thanks ! i didn't want a game over, it's on purpose.
I... thank you (very much) for the rating of the look, i made it myself so i'm really happy ! But maybe you should'n't post your rating ? I don't know if it's good to know before the end of the jam (thus i appreciate)

very unique idea. Good luck in the Jam friend..

Developer

yours is better, but thanks friend ! ^^'

that was fun idea, split screen runner.

but i need more feedback from the game, the cats doesnt show any reaction from stepping on the headgehog, i need sound effects too, like for jumping or when you the cat get hurt.

by the way I can't finish the game, after reaching the thunderstorm section of the game and then nonstop screen shake gave me a headache. sorry :(

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

ok thanks, i will find some sound effect for damage, i thought it would be too noisy.

i should have made a wave count, too bad, you stop on the wave 5/7 (you can't die so if you want to see  the end you can close your eyes...^^')

but  it's too shaky, i agree. I will reduce it later

Wow this is a very original entry, you also put some events to catch the player attention, very smart. Thanks for the "no die" feature. GG !
