I loved it! For a moment, I thought it was just an ordinary playground :)

Incredible experience! Despite the limited interaction with the world, you managed to create a solid story with a truly unique atmosphere. There are also some techniques you used that blew me away: the mirror, the screens, and the scratch line effects. The voice acting is fantastic, and the performances are surprisingly realistic—a huge congratulations! One level around the middle made me sad because of the cat. I don't know if it was intentional, but it works because it makes you feel even more alone.
You managed to use various techniques that make the world almost palpable, like dithering, which gives this kind of gradient on the lighting. The experience wouldn’t be what it is without such good SFX. This makes certain rooms have a very ethereal, otherworldly quality. I love this kind of game that is simply nothing more than a walking simulator in a very singular universe. It’s almost the project I wish I had made for this jam. So, a big congratulations—especially if this is your first game. You were able to use Godot in a very good way, and I would have really loved to see more.
Enchanting and intriguing, I truly enjoyed sharpening knives and playing the flute. The melody is captivating, and I understand why it attracts customers. I think the experience would be ten times better with a less clinical atmosphere but I suppose you spent a lot of time on the characters and the code. In any case, the ending gave me a few unexpected chills. Bravo !!
The gameplay is very interesting, and the violence against these spirits is insane lol. I spoke with four or five lost souls to finally getting lost myself, my battery having died. The atmosphere is truly unsettling and mysterious, and you've clearly done a great job with the options. But having to press "r" to aim isn't very easy to use, but it's a minor detail, you can change it easily. Great work !! I'll try to finish it later.
Your game transported me. I'm not sure to understood everything, but it was absolutely magnificent. There are so many places to explore, with perfectly fitting sound design. I loved the ability to interact with numerous objects, just for the fun of it; it reminds me of the old Resident Evil games, and the way it contributes to the atmosphere is simply brilliant ! I had no bug, no performance issues, no soft locking or/and gettin lost. Good job the team you definitly catch a big fish.
That shopkeeper staring at me will haunt me for days. You created an excellent atmosphere, very oppressive and artistic. I loved the various static shots in the store, very Lynchian. The sound effects are well done, especially when the shopkeeper goes home. I also felt strange things outside, which gave me goosebumps; the wall of fire in the cutscene reminded me of something whose name I can't quite recall. Very good job.
There's a lot of work here, I suppose. The inspiration for Metal Slug is obvious and very cool, the limited-ammo rifle is interesting and frustrating design choice because it slows down the dynamics. I had a few physics bugs, but nothing discouraging. Unfortunately, I couldn't get ammo in the second level , so I gave up after dozens of deaths. Very nice entry your game is solid.
I understand your point of view, especially with my 15 ratings. I'm at the bottom of the pile like many others. Perhaps a system that would force participants to vote for a minimum number of games would be interesting to test but I don't think that's possible here. Jams are always great to do but I agree that the results can sometimes be not very fair compared to the enormous commitment of some jamers.
I event don't know that 3D on GD should be fancy like this. Excellent work, audio is very good too. I made a similar game for a Godot Jam last year, maybe you can try it if you have time after the jam. GG !! https://misterclap.itch.io/maze-of-torment
