This was very fun! Love the graphics (especially how smooth the animations are for the playable character!)

I think you'd love to see the document I have with everything I would have loved to add in that case haha!
The infinite double jump was something I'd hope nobody would find, it's sadly left over from when I tried to make a "water jetpack" upgrade that would have been useful elsewhere also.
Thanks for playing and thank you for the feedback!
At the risk of sounding too much like other commenters I LOVED how big this world was. A lot of different tile types and enemies is what made it feel large but not empty to me - I stumbled into the slime boss room without realising it, but I feel like this perfectly encapsulates the Metroidvania formula! Explore and see what you find!
Movements are super tight and precise, which feels right in the context of this game, kind of felt like a de-rezzed Hollow Knight style game.
One thing I don't like is how many friendly creatures this game has as enemies, I almost just want to stroll through the forest with the woodland friends haha!
If you keep working on this please let me know, would love to see how this feels with sound added!
I completely agree with you! The boss, as you can probably tell, was added in the last 30 minutes of the game. It felt like the boss needed the double-jump to fairly beat it so I didn't restrict the room, definitely not proud of how that ended up haha!
Thank you for playing and for leaving a comment!
I love the visuals, everything felt cohesive and bold. Felt open yet subtly restrictive (like any good Metroidvania!) so big points for level design.
The only thing I would have loved to see is remappable controls/using the right side of the keyboard as attack, 'E' felt a little cramped, and it's not my personal preference to use the mouse unless you need to aim. But this also isn't big enough that I'd remove points for it!
I know I already commented on your game (I was part of the level 4 crew) I don't think difficulty itself is necessarily a problem at all!
In the context of a jam though, if I get stuck on a level I'll definitely give them a few goes, but after 5-6 attempts, I might start to consider calling it there. By that point I've played enough of the game to leave a comment and rating so!
I feel bad when I don't play through all of the work that someone's put into a game, and I'd love to have more free time to keep trying, but I also want to try as many games as possible!
Hope this helps, and please do let me know if you keep developing Switch!
Personally I am a sucker for logic puzzle games, this kind of game makes my brain work in the best way!
Visually I love how you communicate whether a gate is on or off (so players who don't know logic gates don't have to guess!)
I also love the small detail that is the level counter going up in binary!
Thank you so much for playing, and for such a detailed and kind review! It means so much to me!
I definitely want to turn this one into a long term project I actually fell in love with the game whilst making it so it's something I can't wait to put more passion into!
I know I already played and reviewed your game but please let me know if you keep working on yours! I'd love to play future builds
