Super satisfying game. Juice splashes in all directions. I think I got one bug. There was nothing left to destroy in the fourth room. There wasn't enough money to get out. The timer went out and nothing happened. I restarted the game and everything was fine. Overall, one of the best jobs I've tried. Well done!
Fun gameplay and funny story. The juice was a little bit too much, specially the lights and the incredibly high sound of the gunshot, but besides that I liked the effects and the "fog" in the last level.
Great game!
I wasn't expecting a sensory overload every time I pressed the left mouse button, but can't say I'm mad. Lovely art style, silly dialogue and really funny premise, I loved the whole experience. Only part that could use some work is the player movement, especially the dash, it felt almost broken in way it behaved. But that's just a small quirk, really good job on the game!
Well the controls are a little bit rough and the shoot gun didn't shoot... AHHH WHO AM I KIDDING?? This game was a complete peace off adrenaline haha, at the begging I was like "well another relaxing juicy game", and then... when I shoot the tv and this one literally explodes, instantly it was a dopamine buff. I become like a crazy monkey destroying everything in my path. ALSO, the dialogs are very funny and impredictivle. Really enjoyed the concept and had a real carzy/fun moment. Very good job Kemsou, you didn't make a jucy game, you make a SATISFACTORY jucie game haha
I like the silly premise and the destruction was fun and juicy! When I was learning Unreal I'd often procrastinate by just destroying stuff like this. But I got stuck on the same level twice because not enough furniture was there to shoot. I see in one of your responses there's a cheat to get around that though
I liked the concept of the game. As for me, your project could be much better with these points:
1. Level Design / Several times I got lost not knowing where I needed to go. Also, the hallway looked very linear and unfinished due to the empty windows. As a temporary solution, you can insert a frame and add an emission instead of a window.
2. Weapon / The game looks juicy, but weapons without any animations spoil the feeling
Good luck with further development, as for me it could turn out to be a very good game!
Thanks for your feedback.
Making the main corridor very linear and recognisable was a design intention to help the player find their way through the building more easily. Thanks for pointing out it didn't work for you, I will try to think of a way to make it even clearer.
As for the empty windows, one of the goal we were aiming for was to reproduce the look of the 90s shooter games (doom, quake, duke nukem, ...) with a really blocky architecture.
I really enjoyed the game! Graphics look good and it felt really satisfying to blow up objects to see the money fly out!
Fun entry!
What I liked:
- The graphics were probably technically the best I've seen so far in this game jam. Super impressive in the short time frame and in 3D
- The concept is funny
What I think could be improved:
- I felt like the rooms all felt kinda same-y and I didn't need to figure out how to complete each of them. I imagine as a speedrunning game this could be fun to find the routes to go fastest
Thanks for your feedback and kind words :D
We were aiming to make it a speedrunning game, yes. In fact you can see a small "1", "2" or "3" next to the timer while you're in a room, which corresponds to Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on how much time you're taking. We didn't have time to implement this system better than that, unfortunately :/ The balancing is probably off and the bug which make furniture disappear is also probably preventing the speedrunning from being as smooth as intended. But each level was designed with a "fastest" route in mind
lots of fun. right up my alley mechanically. juice and fun are both an easy 5/5, gibbing furniture was surprisingly satisfying. My only real complaint is I hated the motion blur.
it Would've been cool to have some more weapons but the shotgun didn't get old by any means.
I liked the level design and pace of the game. Great job! Would love to see it get some more polish/time.
Very fun game, funny dialogue, good design and idea with going in and out of apartments so smoothly go to the next "level". Cool variation between levels. I just got stuck on the first room where you need to use double jump and dashing, for some reason there was not enough stuff for me to shoot for the money? When the time ran out nothing happened, jumped out of the window and fell through the map, lmao. Overall, very fun though of what I played. :^)
god this was fun, the gunplay felt juicy, and the dash felt well-timed and -balanced as well! The level design was smart, and the writing as well! Although the gameplay was hella fluid and satisfying, I did actually stop before entering apartments because it was fun reading the dialogue :3
And as will all unreal games, this will make your pc fan become audibly louder lmao
Well boys we did it, economy crashes are no more!
it was so satisfying to destroy stuff, the last was a bit confusing tho because of the fog but I had a lot of fun!
Ah man, how to get up through the hole in the ceiling again, in like apartment 5?
It felt weirdly satisfying to shoot this stuff to pieces, well done with the juiciness there :D
I like the action/smooth jazz contrast, very nice work with the music.
I think graphics could have been more aligned. Some different styles that didn't mix too well. Also I had a hard time following the conversation going on all the time down in the left, but I think it is a good thing to keep that stuff optional (and not having tons of cut scenes with text).
Cool submission! It felt very good to play.
