I like how the muzzle flash has a light source, nice attention to detail xD I would have preferred some kind of goal though instead of just surviving, maybe a countdown to survive for 60 seconds and exit the level

Thanks for playing!

Ah, it reminded me of good old Crimsonland. Smooth gameplay, a perk system that is very appropriate for the theme, chill music. Everything is done as it should be. Well done!

Submitted

nice game, gameplay is very smoothly. The theme is integrated in very nice way. Keep on running!

the price mechanic is honestly genius, plus the game in general is really fun and could easily be expanded upon!

but im not sure  how you regenerate health, if tahts even possible? maybe couldve added an option where you gain health but lose out on one of the upgrades, wouldve fit with the price mechanic!

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for playing!

The heal mechanic is just healing on level up, I wanted to add an indicator but I ran out of time.

Thanks for playing!

Submitted

oooh okay that makes more sense! Thanks!

Submitted

Oh, I had fun playing this game!

Nice take on the theme. Even though I didn't always see the effect of the choices I made? I didn't see any knock back for instance. I survived 1:45, they were swarming!

Very clear instructions on how to play in-game.

Cool submission!

Developer

The knockback could use some tune, a little bit weak right now imo.

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, but the game was still enjoyable. Is the dash a little weird directionwise? :-)

I think the map looks very cool! I also enjoyed the ability to upgrade yourself with the cost of a downgrade. However I do think that the enemies needs to be nerfed a little bit, I think they're a bit too fast that Ive had moments where Im leading a horde of them only to be caught off guard by a single enemy running from the opposite direction ... which often led to me struggle to get them off of me. Other than that I had fun running around the map blasting the enemies. The music you selected also fit very well with the game. good game overall, nice job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The 3rd party assets are well chosen and work well together, but I think it's lacking a bit of personnal touch visually.

The gameplay is nice and the VFX and floating texts really helps making it juicy. The grenade that uses your health is a nice touch to make the game more than a classical shooter, nice! :D

Good job, nice entry :)

Developer

Yeah the main background is a used asset, I wanted to make the main character and enemies and all of their things myself. Used voxel art to try and give it an arcade vibe since I am not really aren't really 3D modeler. Thanks for playing the game and the feedback!

The game its pretty good, just that the only thing i dont know is wy the menu is 2d and the stetic of the game change a 3d. But over all its very nice

Submitted

Had a lot of fun playing this one! The upgrade system was a really nice touch, controls felt smooth and intuitive. I also appreciate that you went for a 3D game where most people do 2D.

Only suggestion would be to make the dash feel a little better by having the camera only loosely follow the character. Also I often die right after an upgrade screen because the enemies keep coming and I don't have time to shoot.

Overall, great work!

Developer

I agree on the dash needing a bit of work.

Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun!

In general, the game in its style gives what it should, but the interfaces and 3D models in the game do not look very organic

Developer

Yeah my interface could use some improvement. I didn't have a lot of time for the visuals so I went with voxel for the characters to give off a more arcade vibe.

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Cool game with great graphics, the music was really good too. Good game overall!

Nice job! I did a survival shooter as well! I really like the level having some obstacles to use and be mindful of, and I like that each perk comes with a negative. I didn't really like how the dash works, personally. I like something a bit longer and smoother. Also, I think adding a custom crosshair is something that's very low effort and goes a long way to improving the polish of the game. Cheers!

Developer

I agree the crosshair probably should have made it into the final game, and the dash could use a lot of tune.

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Its really fun, love the robots laughing when losing, the gameplay feel good and fluid

but i got a bug where i could only see "How to play" button, i manege to overpass it but it was quite annoying

overall a great game

Developer

Ah, sorry about the menu bug, must not be adjusting properly to certain resolutions.

I will work on fixing that.

Thanks for playing the game!

This was really impressive to put together in the short time we had. The controls feel really good, but the game does get hard fast. Overall great work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree the difficulty ramps up a little fast. I will most likely tweak that when I can.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Really great execution. The atmosphere you built up is really effective. Thank god for those enemy indicators cause man they are quick. It builds a really high stress scenario. Killing enemies really flairs that juice factor, I loved all the numbers, colors, and explosions that pop up during combat. Also a huge fan of the sacrifice one stat to increase another. The dash seemed a little unusual, It seemed to zip me a short distance, I think a little more distance or speed on it would have been nice. Also the enemy spawn rate quickly went from manageable to apocalypse levels when I played.

Very strong entry, lot of fun. Great job.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! I agree the dash needs work and my spawns can get a bit hectic quickly, hoping to adjust that better in the future.

Glad you enjoyed playing!

Cool game ! really fast & nervous.
The indicator on screen to tell you where the ennemies are coming from is a really nice touch.

Tiny feedbacks :

Having a retry button when you die would help a lot to keep the player longer in the game. The "ok one more try" feeling can go away if you have to go back through the menu.
Also some light screenshake when you fire your weapon would help a lot to add more juice to the game.

Apart from that, it's a pretty solid entry. Good job :)

Developer

The retry button was something I had to cut last minute due to it not functioning right, I agree it should be there.

Thank you for playing the game, glad you enjoyed it!

Definitely my favorite part was when you die and all of the robots just laugh at you like HAHA you lost.

Loved the game, i really like the concept of having to exchange power ups it goes really nice with the theme and you can definitely feel the juice with all of the vfxs, if i had to add something the dash could be improved.

Overall amazing!
