The best part are the hit effects and damage numbers and the snappy movement. I think it needed some AOE ability to be able to do something against the hordes that show up after the first minute (unless I was unlucky with upgrades). Great use of theme. :^)

Developer

Yeah I think the grenade could use a bit more damage, it's a large cost for the health loss.

Thanks for checking out the game!

Good juicing, movement and game mechanics are good and well implemented (out of screen enemies).

Sound could be improved, look around for UIs from games you like to get inspiration.

Good job!

Developer

thanks for playing!

I wanted to implement a better sound system but ran out of time so had to settle with what I had.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Cool stuff. After reaching level 3, the difficulty ramps up a lot. I got swarmed and died, then they all started dancing :D
Good game. It was fun killing those cyborgs and trying out different upgrades.

Thanks for playing!

my difficulty curves are a bit intense, most likely will be tuned around when the jam is over.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Good Job, My only complain had to do with the UI, the standard fond and buttons made it kinda harsh for the eyes.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the game!

Great project, I'm really impressed by your game. nice effects and shooting mechanics.

small nit-pick: the UI could use a re-design.

other than that fantastic game and I cant wait to see what else you make in future.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah the UI will probably get updated when I get the chance, along with the camera and dash.

Glad you Enjoyed it!

What I liked:

  • The base movement is fast and crispy
  • The shooting mechanics are satisfying
  • The tradeoff for abilities were interesting and made me interested in trying out different types of builds

What could be improved on:

  • The graphics and UI feel very incomplete. I assume this is mainly due to time constraints and working in 3D being harder to make quality models. That being said I think this could have been made in 2D without losing any gameplay mechanics
  • I thought the camera was too zoomed in and I often found myself shooting at the suicide bombers before I could actually see them
  • The dash felt kinda wonky
Developer

Yeah I am no artist so the UI designing and everything is very weird to me, so it was a learning experience for sure. The camera and dash were both aspects I wanted to improve on but ran out of time to adjust them.

Thank you for playing!

Good atmosphere and also fun to play!

The dash feels not so juicy.Maybe the camera following needs optimization I guess?

Developer

Yeah the dash and camera are both things I wanted to improve but ran out of time to improve it.

Thanks for playing the game!
