Beautiful visuals. It felt weird at first, then I realized it's turn based. Very solid gameplay, and the elements are a nice mechanic. Good work!
Dude, I really like this game! I felt it very strategic and fun to play. The art is very nice too!
Congratulation!!
Thanks a bunch! :D
Combining elements is great, it would have been nice to be able to combine different elements but I read that you didn't have the time.
I didn't understand that the game was turn-based at the start, and doesn't seem so necessary but despite of that it was fun, the concept is interesting and the art is cool !
Yeah I couldn't really make the most out of turn based nature right now >_<
Loved your game too btw, very charming!
Game looks incredible, music is great too. Both are also very faithful to the gameboy. Gameplay has a nice idea to it, and can certainly be fun too, but it can be hard to judge what the enemies and the player can do, and how they can move, due to their movement being smooth while the game is semi-turn based. Good job.
Thanks :D
Yeah if there's one thing that needs work it's definitely the enemies. The movement being so smooth was intentional, I wanted players to be able to play at their own speed, even real time.
Ahhh I see. That's an interesting idea then.
Great game. Alot of fun and I like the art. The idea is also really interesting and cool.
Thank you! I'm glad the concept shone through despite the bugs :D
I love the art, the music, and the game is a really good idea !! Congrats !
Thanks so much!
This is so cool! I adore the art style and the concept is really original and fun. From the comments below I see you already know what needs to be improved. I really hope you update this game after the jam, because it's a really nice proof of concept.
Thanks! I'm glad that the concept came across, because I didn't feel like it actually worked that well as it is right now. I might update it in the future but for now I have to go back to real life again :(
You made a good game. Great idea, simple execution and good sounds. But I feel it kind weird when you attack and after the action the "whip" stays on the screen, for example. A good game that needs more polish.
Yeah that's a bug I didn't end up having time to fix :(
Neat idea and nice art! I think it would be cool if you could combine different elements for attacks as well, like in Gunstar Heroes.
Yeah I planned that initially, but ran out of time :(
I really like this, the concept is super simple and stacking of elements for better moves is AMAZING
would've like to see boss fight or the farther you got the more enemies showed up on the screen at once
Can't wait to see the post jam update
Thanks, I'm glad you could see what I'm going for!
Yeah I think what this game needs most is a battle where you really need to have a strategy of moves. This concept was too ambitious for 10 days :p
I have a lot of different ideas for this game, a card system, or having access to multiple moves.. A lot of potential!
I dig the card system idea and multiple moves. you are totally speaking my kinda language :D
The visuals are great! I think with a little more polish, this game could be an impressive Gameboy game!
Yeah it was a bit too ambitious for this jam haha
A really great concept, hampered a little by a lack of tutorial. Not quite a game yet, but an interesting idea nonetheless
Yeah it ended more like a prototype. Didn't have time for a tutorial but I'l make a video to try to compensate. Thanks for the feedback!
Visually this is absolutely brilliant, gameplay is quite fun (although the controls took a bit of getting used to) and overall the game is well polished and enjoyable. Good job!
Thanks! The idea was a bit too ambitious for a short jam, I didn't have time to get things quite right.
I'm just happy to hear it runs haha, didn't have time yet to run it on a different pc!
