I Love this Game.

Great FPS concept with Zombies, and I loved the lemon shooting and Glass with cubes as a health.

Lots of potential to add things later on :)

Developer

Glad you enjimmed it :D

Developer

Thanks for playing, we have many plans for the games future.

Jimtastic!  A shame about the sound. The little surprise was cool and 1shot headshots was a nice touch.

Developer

Glad you enjimmed it, we will be fixing the sound and adding more content after the jam. There is another surprise at 500 kills :)

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyable with good story

Developer

Glad you enjimmed it, thanks for playing!

Well, it was generally nice. I found the settings menu ingenious! And I also liked the death's dossier. Music did play, and no loop, ok it happens, but no other sounds?

What I didn't like was the sudden zombie approach and then running at you with so much speed. I mean, suddenly I was surrounded, for no reason. The exact same thing I found strange for the walking dead. How much stealth do zombies have anyway to approach without being noticed?!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

We had an issue where Git corrupted our game the day before the deadline, resulting in us having to go back to a previous version and losing quite a bit of work. Unfortunately, this meant that the game was far less finished than we had hoped it would be, and is the reason there is no sound and the music doesn't loop.

It's strange that the zombies were running at you quickly, they shouldn't be moving fast so we'll have to look into that as that means that there is an issue with the code.

Fun game and great story! I found the scene quite interesting, loved the skybox and colors, wish there was more feedback for the attacks, like a projectile and an enemy animation/sprite flash when damaging. Also the progress felt a bit slow but I get that this is a jam game and it's hard to find time to balance and tweak values! Great job

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it. Attack feedback and balancing are definitely in the top things we will be dealing with once the jam is over.

Really great game! Unfortunate that the sound doesn't loop because it's really good. Enjoyed it quite a lot :)

also great amount of control options provided. I was recently suffering with RSI and am using a kinda different keyboard and the option to jump with ctrl helped me a lot :D

Developer

Thanks for playing we are glad you liked it, yeah the sound was a major git issue for us.
We added multiple controls to offer some support for left or right handed users to be able to play easier, but I'm glad that helped for your keyboard layout as well though. I will look into mappings for other styles of keyboards as well, we use a qwerty style one but i will see what we can do. Hopefully your rsi get's better soon :)

Really loved this! Had me laughing several times (especially the completely unnecessary "Conjimue" haha)

Would've loved there to be sound, I was getting attacked at a couple of points and didn't realise because they were behind me, but the fact you managed to get a minimap in there is really impressive!

Great work for such a limited timeframe

Developer(+1)

Really happy it made you laugh, we wanted to set the scene properly and nothing sets the scene like Jimspeak xD. We will definitely be looking into some toggleable sound feedback options for people after the jam. Thanks that minimap took me a good bit to figure out, glad trying something new worked out :p thanks for playing.

I thought the story in the beginning you had there was engaging and did a great job setting the atmosphere, and the immersive gameplay in the environment was fun - good job on this one!

Developer

Thanks we are happy you enjimmed it, there will be plenty more when we update it.

Nice art and the movement feels smooth enough.
Unfortunatelly the loop music is not looping (lol).

I really loved the intro!

Developer (1 edit)

Glad you enjoyed it, yeah we had issues with git that messed with things a good bit. We didn't realize changes hadn't updated until it was uploaded unfortunately.

Some nice art i didnt quite no how to play too well though. Very unique concept though. Glad i played again after playing initally  as i had no sound or music then found in options for game they were switched off much better after that. Maybe some lemon noise and zombie noises would have been nice. Nice work though!

Developer

Glad you had fun,  we will be adding a tutorial after the gamejam and definitely fixing the music issue. We will be adding some feedback for shooting and zombie noises after the jam thanks for the feedback.

It was a cool setting, but hard to play without spatial audio cues. The minimap is a little too small to be useful. I hope you can fix the audio settings being required but good job.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

We will definitely be fixing the audio after the jam. I'll pass your feedback on the minimap onto my team mate as they were the one who made it.

I really enjoyed the story! :):)

Developer(+1)

Delighted to hear it! Thanks for playing :D

Quite enjoyed the story and general jimmyness :D
Music stopped after a single playthrough, but it was rockin' while it lasted.

Developer(+1)

I'm overjimmed that you enjimmed it!

The music doesn't loop, we didn't realise until the submission deadline had passed, but we will be fixing it as soon as the jam is over.

Thanks for playing! :D

I have no jim puns that haven't already been used unfortunately lol, but wow this is such a great submission, you can feel a lot of work went into it, it's a really fun experience! I love the aesthetics too.

Developer

Thank you, feedback like this Jimply makes my week. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. :D

Solid Jim entry... sorry, jam entry!

I saw the message mentioning the volume sliders, so i did turn them up, but i don't think i was hearing sound effects other than the music? correct me if i'm wrong, please.

Fun game and cool concept, cheers! :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjimmed it!

You're not wrong, there weren't any sound effects. We had an issue where Git corrupted our project the day before the deadline so we had to revert to a previous version of the game which ended up with us losing over a days worth of work. That's also why the music didn't loop. We didn't realise these issues until after the deadline so unfortunately we weren't able to fix them in time. We plan on continuing working on this game, and fixing the various sound issues is going to be in the first update we do after the Jim is over. :D

Git had ONE job, somehow managed to Jim it! Darn it git...
I didn't mention it but loved the Menu design as well, by the way, it was really neat. Good luck with the project!

Thank you for the reply :)

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea, I enjoyed the thejim! I think that more sound effects would have helped in terms of hearing where the zombies were and stuff, and the music seemed not to loop which made things a bit quiet, but a good shooter!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad that you enjimmed the game!

Fixing the music looping and adding sound effects will be something we do as soon as the jam is over. Unfortunately we had a setback due to Github corrupting our project near the end so we had to revert to a previous version which caused us to lose our sound settings.

Thanks for playing!

The writing is on point! I played for way too long after finding lil' Jim hoping there would be more, but alas.  Great job!

Developer

Thanks! :D

Lil' Jim is unlocked at 100 kills, the next thing is unlocked at 500 kills, but because we didn't have the time to balance zombie spawning speed or difficulty I'm not sure how possible or boring it would be to get to that amount of kills. We will definitely be re-balancing the whole thing after the jam is over, as well as adding a lot of things that we had designed but didn't get the time to add, as we plan to continue working on it.

This was funny! I enjoyed my time here dodging Jim Reaper haha xD good job ^.^

Developer(+2)

Jim Reaper is a menace and needs to back off! Glad to hear you Jimjoyed it :D

Submitted(+1)

Jimpeccable game with a solid story! The writing really had me invested in collecting lemons to save Jim's potential son, but I will not spoil that!

Developer(+1)

I always enjoy reading lazarus's stories as well, glad you liked the game. Even in the apocalypse Jim is saving the day, thanks for not spoiling it ;)

Submitted(+1)

AAHAHAH I was confsued then i got jumped scared, awesome game! I did hoped you could snipe zombies from afar instead of point and click but overall very unique!

Developer(+1)

Thanks really glad you liked it, that actually got me as well a few times xD
