Great job! Enjoying the art style :)
With mouse and keyboard, it was frustrating how the character would shift position in the screen, so turning around wouldn't always flip the direction of attack without moving the mouse dramatically.
I liked the mechanics. I had so much fun dashing and slashing goblins :) Good job!
I love the hand-drawn art! It was a bit hard to play using a keyboard - I wish I had a controller to try it on. Good work!
I like the art I don't know why but it makes it cozy. I am not a fan of debuffing characters, but it is an interesting idea.
The sound and music are very good
This is one of the best submissions for me so far! It is very fun and good looking, I liked the art style so much. The game idea is also unique and fun.
Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
Nice game! The graphic style works well. You could work on animations, they would make game much more smoother.
Cool game! I loved the concept of having to sacrifice something every level, it helped add variety and keep the game interesting. I liked the variety in abilities the player has access to. Also the "LAST STAND" text pulsing was a nice addition haha. Keep up the great work!
Wow pretty cool, man, the fighting system I loved it, always wanted to do smth like this, a simple parry/attack system. Good stuff.
Great job!
I had to double check how many people worked at this game.
You've made a really interesting and fun game!
There are a lot of game mechanics and from what I've seen so far they are all well thought out and balanced.
I don't know if it's a bug or it's just a skill issue on my part but sometimes I had problems attacking on the left.
Other than that I add lot of fun playing it!
Bravo!
Thanks a lot!
As for the attacking left issue, I dug into it, and found the problem! The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame. Thanks for pointing it out, I've patched it now, so hopefully it's a better experience!
(I guess that's what I get for doing all my playtesting with a controller :D )
This is a neat little game, with a nice feel and theme. There is a bit of jankiness with the attack - it defaults the swing position to being behind the player, and found the buttons a bit unusual to commit to memory. The end of round negative state effects were a great addition. I think you did an awesome job with the submission. Well done.
Thanks for pointing out the attack issue. I dug into it, and found the problem: The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame. I've patched it now, so hopefully it's a better experience!
Next time I'll have to do more playtesting with keyboard and mouse, not just Controller!
yeah cool game! So I got to the cave level but didn't have any way to attack anymore lol.
Wow this was an amazing game! Some of the aspects I particularly enjoyed were:
(1) The hand-crafted visuals. Very charming original designs for the characters and the different goblin enemies. The environment was pleasing to walk and jump around in as well.
(2) The UI was very well handled and unique. Great visual indicators like the progress bar filling up for actions like heal and break open cage. The shield recharge was really clearly indicated as well.
(3) The varying gameplay mechanics. You got so much into this with the dash, ranged, melee and then the reverse roguelike of losing power was a cool twist.
(4) Goblin boss fight was really challenging and fun.
Loved this game!
Thanks so much!
Fun gam, i liked the art style and the faces of the goblin archers were hilarious. great work with this :)
Thank you very much :D
Nice game! The rock throwing was a bit weird it always seems to want to go right for some reason but it could juct be me overall great submission :D
Thanks for the feedback! For the right-facing attacks, I dug into it, and found the problem. The aim angle was defaulting to 0 every frame unless there was mouse input that frame. Thanks for pointing it out, I've patched it now, so hopefully it's a better experience!
Funny game, I really liked it. Keep it up
A very nice game. Love the self-made assets! Then game is well balanced and the events between stages add a nice twist! Very nice submission! Thank you!
I feel my body grow older the more I play.
loved the art and animations. and a cool game concept as well. the boss fight was hard tho.
This was a cool idea! Art style was really charming
one issue I had was playing on keyboard, trying to remember all the buttons for specific actions was a little overwhelming- I maybe would have had the freeing of the prisoners happen automatically if you spent a certain amount of time within their radius without attacking etc? But that's just me!
Overall a fun experience! well done!
