Hi,

I've tried opening a few times from steam, and appears to load fine, but almost totally unresponsive to user input (note entry grid and buttons appear, but do not respond to clicks) or will respond to a single click several seconds after entry and then not register end click or similar (i.e. will begin entry of note in note grid, but not alow completion of note entry- pencil tool will move with mouse, and audio snippet of instrument at different pitches will play but no way to finish note entry)

I'm on a macbook air 2019, intel i5, using sonoma 14.3

thanks!

I'm glad! Thank you for inflicting FUN on your peers!

everyone loves FUN!

when I click the bundle now it no lonmger says "awaiting one participant approval" or whatever, but now says  simply "draft"

DOES THIS MEAN ITS GO TIME?

saw the email, thanks for the update and hope you're holding up OK

Looks the same to me. hopefully this gets resolved promptly!

tyvm, for the reply and keeping going with this

Is there any news on this? btw, what happens if the ticket doesn't get answered by april 1st?

just approved.  Thanks for persisting with this

Thank you for sharing this with us!

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE. 28:06.

Spent the first ten mins with a smile on my face, then after the last level had to go outside to calm down. 10/10

Very slick presentation! well polished microgame with a central idea- executed well.

Last level by far outshone the others, really tricky jumping segments that stretch your attention between two screens in a taxing way.  Very impressive! well done!

Loads and loads of fun! wasn't sure what I was going a fair bit of the time, and hit some bugs, but otherwise lots of fun with a fair few features! (the vehicle, the ramps, all the exploding boxes!)

firing the bow felt really crunchy, such a satisfying feeling! I didn't see the second level though because monsters kept beating me up :( Great game! had lots of fun!

This was really slick! Love the concept, and pretty well executed! I got stuck on the second level lol, but that is because I am soft of brain.

a shame you didn't get the chance to polish it more, there is a lot of potential! would've love to see more! well done!

pretty funny dialogue! Really enjoyed it, only issue I had was there wasn't any cool down on the axe throwing, so I ended up just spamming the spacebar and concentrating on HD's jumping.

Nailed the theme and I had fun though! well done!

Really hard game for smooth brain people like myself! Nailed the theme and really slick presentation!

(1 edit)

This game has most definitely put me on a government watch list.  absolutely chaotic wild ride.

(5/5 GOTY)

Some combinations were easier to figure out than others, and some were pretty opaque! other than that, well done!

Think I missed some of the references from the show, but was still a good laugh! 10/10 would connect my 56k toaster oven to the phone line again

Really slick graphics and high level of polish! nailed the theme! well done!

super slick vibes! Love the synth wave aesthetic! only two things I would mention,

1) it's not obvious how many xp before a level up, so I got caught by surprise a few times

2) initial handling and acceleration (before upgrades)  is quite sluggish!

Otherwise, great fun! well done!

This one caught me by surprise- I wasn't expecting a VN / shoot em up mashup! I didn't finish, but if I had more time I'd give it more time! Good effort, great idea! well done

Nailed the theme- fun concept with strong story! only thing I would say is, I wasn't too keen on only being able to swap dimensions a limited number of times- if I forgot what one dimension looked like, and swapped to remember, then I'd often lock myself into having to restart-

Otherwise, good job! well done

So the game loaded for me, but after the MISSION START splash, I was totally unable to control the character, no mouse or keyboard response at all. Sorry I wasn't able to play, the concept sounded cool!

Good effort all things considered! props for including a Mac build.  IT's an idea that I think could work really well when fleshed out a bit more! Only constructive criticism I would give is the enemies look a little ambiguous, I thought they were powerups at first.

Also, cool title .

I'm not normally a puzzle platformer person, so I didn't manage to finish- BUT that's a me problem, definitely not a problem with the game! Sound design and atmosphere were 10/10 for me, very clever use of environmental storytelling, and a good amount of 'aha!' moments when the puzzle clicks, incredible job!

Clever idea! Not really my go-to game (I'm not a huge fan of puzzle platformers) but that's a me problem, not a you problem! Only thing I would say is the character control feels quite floaty and loose, but otherwise, well done!

Not the first time I accidentally microwaved my laundry.  10/10, love this kind of thing! well done!

Hi- just finished the most recent video- I don't know of you or anyone else will find it useful but here's a link to a public repo with each lesson stored as a commit- there are some differences (I have Steve's movement calculated slightly differently) but it follows reasonably closely.

Thanks for making these, they've helped make the transition from unity pretty smooth

WARNING: some of the commit comments may contain swears.

Tutorial repo

This was cool and cute- thank you for making it!

Thank you for playing! Glad you experienced it!

XD

Thank you for your comments!

to address one or two- the controls are meant to be a little bit janky and uncomfortable, but I will freely admit I probably well over-egged the pudding in that respect-

(part of my design brief was to create something that took a fairly mundane task and added a dose of chaos, but that shouldn't come at the expense of annoying the player! I'll add that to things to review!)

I'm actually not too sure how to address the physics issues- they're definitely something that annoyed me too but I wasn't able to find a solution, given that they make use of unity's built in physics engine.  I must not be implementing it correctly, I wasn't able to eliminate cases where the rigid bodies clip through each other or sudden macaroni explosions

The lack of prompt is an issue! if/when I update the game I'll add that in, and I'll see if I can make the bonus screen skippable, or run it more subtly and in parallel with mini game transitions.

Thanks again for playing my game and for the comments! they were super helpful and will get added to my task list for V1.1!

is anyone able to give some feedback on my game? It's my first semi-serious effort to produce anything 'finished' in unity.

so I played gravity swap! very nice, reminded me a lot of Terry Cavanagh's VVVVVV, with a little bit of Thomas was alone.  The graphics were nice and the trail effect on the character was pretty cool- as was the gravity swap particle effect- it was nice to have that visual feedback.

There was a few things I would tweak slightly- the hitbox was a little too large on the spikes- there was a few times when my character 'hit' the spikes without actually touching the sprite (normally around the corners) which got a little frustrating. I also found the gravity value to be a fraction low, so the character felt quiet floaty.  left-right movement was quite snappy though, so that was nice. the visual language of the obstacles was a little iffy- the first level I came to the rotating knife/disk things I tried to 'collect' them because I thought they were stars.  A solution would be to maybe make all things that can hurt you a distinctive colour- red, or pink maybe- then the player thinks "if the spikes are red, and kill me, and this thing is *also* red, it will probably kill me too".

I enjoyed it though, well done!

I played it and liked it, the gameplay was pretty simple, but compelling- I found myself going back a few times to try and beat my score.

A few things though, having a score table would add to that feeling of wanting to beat your personal best, and I found the spaces between the layers just a little bit too close together, so it felt kind of cramped.  I thought the lo-fi chilled music and the bloom effect really worked with the kind of less-is-more arcade feel you were trying to achieve, well done!

Hi! I had a look at these games but my browser wasn't able to run them, and since I'm on Mac I wasn't able to download them either- are any of you able to make Mac builds so I can have a look and provide feedback?

Hi All!

https://crabbit-slater.itch.io/macaroni-in-a-pot

Just published my first game, it's a silly/memey cooking-mama style game in the vein of the 5 min flash games people used to play back in the mists of the mid-00's

controls are using the classic WASD + space bar.

Comments and criticisms are welcome- my main goal with this was to make people smile, or at the least make that weird confused face that they sometimes do!
