I recognize this asset pack, its a good one. I liked the visuals and had a good time playing. The movement felt nice for the most part. I was a little confused for the purpose of the other dimension. It might have been a bit more interesting if it was like a maze or had some sort of dangers or something, with how it was I just felt like unengaging. I found it to be an overall enjoyable experience though. Good game!

Is there only one level? If so I had a blast anyways, it was a lot of fun. Thank you for making it!
That's a solid game jam game. It's a really nice use of black and white, it's pretty straight forward with the objective and controls. There's more you could flesh out... And it kept my attention for a few minutes while I had fun!
So old school! I love it!
It's a great game even if you had little time to work on it ;-) You can be proud of what you've done!
Hi, congrats on your game! :) That's really cool, I love the art style. 1-bit games have a charm that I can't quite explain. As for the game itself, I think it has a lot of potential. The mechanics like jumping and movement were implemented very well. However, what I felt was lacking a bit was some sort of interaction between the black and white sides of the level. Currently, the white side feels like a separate level, and doesn't have a direct interaction with the black side.
If you have some spare time, please try out my game. It's a classic space shooter from the 80s but with a personal touch. Please leave your honest feedback.
Thanks! Yeah, ran out of time to implement a lot of features I had in mind. Point taken on the black/white sides. Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment and leave feedback. :) Oh, and I've played, rated, and commented on your game (which I had a nostalgic feel for me and I had fun playing).
I really enjoyed the character controls. The game has the potential to evolve into something even greater from such a pleasant concept.
I thought this was a nice and tight game. The movement felt good and responsive. The aesthetic was very cohesive. It was fun to run a level in this world you created. Great Job!
Really great job with this! I really love the concept. It made me smile because I had a similar backstory of a character trapped in a 2D world, but I love how you have the 1bit >> 3D idea. That's cool! Plus, the sound effects, music, and mechanics were all great! Well done.
I hope you're doing well now! The game is short but sweet! I like it a lot.
The game is pretty straightforward, but some elements were unclear. The portal on the left was not "obvious", I thought it was just a part of the wall at first. It's maybe difficult to distinguish because of the 1-bit style, but the placement might be off too. Other than that it's really good :D
Yeah, I had planned on making the teleport blink or flash once all 3 keys were collected but was running out of time and didn't get back to implement that before submission. Another design concept I had that didn't make it due to time was a spring board that was going to be used to launch Crabby up to the teleport, so that was the original placement decision. Maybe placing it down near the key in the lower left would've made more sense and not make it look like it was part of the wall after the springboard didn't come to fruition. Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment and leave feedback. :)
Very nice little platformer. The controls are really responsive and feels just right, and that is surprisingly hard to do.
I hope you have fully recovered and stay healthy! Good job publishing your game.
Nice game and good implementation of the theme! But second half of the level is too easy compared to the first.
And what kind of pet flies next to you? Does he help somehow?
Definitely correct on the right (white) side of the screen and on "Batty". But, I simply ran out of time to implement everything I had planned (ended up having a hospital stay that dug into a bit of my development time). Same thing with "Batty". That was going to be an annoying "enemy" that would try to knock you off platforms until you got out of its range (and after an amount of time reduce health) but ran out of time to get the mechanic in place. But I really like the idea of Batty becoming a pet so I'll have to consider that if I do further development on this later! Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment and leave feedback. :)
pretty good game. its easy to understand and fun. good job for finishing the game!
Nice work. Hope you have already recovered from your hospital stay! I guess the game ends after you reach the door on the right side? Also, while you are in one "dimension," the other side seems like a waste of screen space. How to make the non-active side interesting might be something to think about.
Thanks, I'm back home and even back to work now. Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment and leave feedback. :) You're definitely correct about the other side. I had more plans for the alternate (white) side and even the black side. I also wanted to call more attention to achievements than just the text in the center of the black dimension by the scores/health/keys. My health incident and subsequent hospital stay forced me to cut multiple ideas and features so I could get something submitted. :)
