This was so nice i played it twice. I still didn't realize things could escalate like that last guy. Great work!

Developer

Glad you liked it ^^

Great job with the game. Like others have said, turning the corner was a nice surprise!

Haha, I thought it was funny how fast things escalated if you didn't scare the thief in time. Owner dead, dog homeless!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

I will thanks!

This concept is really cool! I love how you zoom around the house. It's super fun! The only improvement I would want is for the game to be longer.

Developer

Thanks i will be making a proper game out for this so give me a follow if you like!

Wonderful story!

The turning the corner mechanic is so satisfying.

Developer

Hehe thanks! I will be adding more levels and graphics so if you like give me a follow!

Love the perspective shift

Really cute artwork, I loved that even the control scheme and mission objectives really put you into roleplaying as a dog. Nice twist on the theme as well with the perspective shifting, great job!

Developer

Thank you! Objective panel was like " I don't want to make a tutorial and tell player's what to do as this has not much to do, but i need to let them know what to do." Hence the objective panel  :)

Silly!  I like it!

Developer

Thanks! I love your game^^

The perspective shifted was really cool and I was not expecting it. Definitely a really cool interpretation of the theme!

Developer

Hehe thanks, i wanted it to be a surprise like you play a 2D game and then boom what the f****?  :)

Short and sweet! Turning the corner was unexpected and fun. And I gotta give props to your cover image, it's very good. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Short and sweet experience. A bit light on mechanics for me, but the art was fun and the screen transition effect was pretty cool.

Developer

Thank you!

The art in this is a big draw for me; it's simple, but it works great at communicating what it needs to, and plays well with the cool 3D effect. Game is obviously a bit limited right now, but jam games don't need to be (and probably generally shouldn't be) massive bunches of content and time-sinks. It looks like you may have intentions of expanding on this, which I think is a great idea. I'd be curious to see where it goes!

Hey thanks! You comment troubles me a little. I was going for a black and white handrawn for experiment and time savement ofc, but couldn't figure out animating in Krita, and i don't have photoshop so i went back to my trusty best and most famous software Aseprite that i know very well for the animations. For the future I was thinking of turning this into colored, 32-bitish pixel art. Do  you think that would be a mistake?

Oh, definitely not. I think it just depends which style will better fit the vibe you're going for. I personally am a huge fan of a hand drawn look, but I'm not the only audience for your game, and I'm a weirdo; some nice color pixel art would probably be more conventionally pleasing.

Ultimately, I think it oughta be your decision. You know what looks good and what fits best for what you want to make. I wouldn't think either choice would push people away.

Sorry to cause any anxiety! I like to think that there are no mistakes with something that subjective. (Unless you're trying to make money/make a living. Then there might be, haha.)

I gave it a long hard thought and I decided that you are right! The vide of this game is best fitted with a hand drawn style. It might not be the best hand drawn game but I think it will be better than pixel art.

Would be a nice summer project hehe ;)

Thanks for the game! It would be neat to have a neighborhood with a puzzle/key element, but not bad at all.

Developer(+1)

Hehe it would be great to have a big world but a nightmare to scale and model things ^^. I'll keep it a square and add more mechanics, levels and objectives in the future.

Intresting take on the theme, but unfortunately I could not reach the thief in time.

Being a dog and barking at things is strangely satisfying, no wonder my dog does it all the time.  Good job, look forward to future updates.
