It looks pretty cool, but the gameplay is confusing. Overall, good job!

You wanted honestly review? So It looks good. I don't like the fact that I can't skip text. I need to see two unskippable text in sequence after game over to try again. I heard the the clocks but I didn't see them so maybe it would be good to add them? (It is just an offer. How it'is good judge yourself).

And the biggest. I didn't found any "misteria" I only saw it on screenshots

Developer

At first, I wanted to add the skip feature, but because the game isn't text-based, I didn't add it. I've implemented that in the update. And the clock is that dark thing (due to the perspective, it was made dark)

Obviously, the game looks amazing. The whole thing just works to give off this simple, eerie vibe that fits the game so well.

Gameplay is definitely confusing and a bit repetitive, although I think I got things working. Was able to trigger a few of the cutscenes back to back, so... something I was doing was making things happen. To be honest, the repetitiveness didn't bother me massively because the little cutscenes were interesting enough and so well done that it made me personally want to keep going. But the confusion makes the repetitiveness feel less worth it, because it makes difficult to get to the cutscenes (if that makes any sense).

Overall, I do like it quite a bit. Vibe and artwork alone made it feel amazing to just look at and take in for a while, if nothing else. I think you've got the start of something really interesting here, and I'd love to see what it would look like developed further if there's any chance of that. Nice work!

I'm so sorry, that turned out to be a bug :') and I've fixed it. That's why I saw so many people get overwhelmed. stupid me xD

Don't really understand how to play. I don't know what to look at.

Love the music and graphics of the game. Really adds to the eeriness of the game. The idea of the game is great but the mechanics did get a little boring, regardless the game did keep me curious till the end. Maybe try something like this in 3D. It has great potential.

Great work

Spooky atmosphere! Cool graphics and ambience. I struggled with the controls at first but then I read the instructions. Well done!

Great art and aesthetics, congratulations! Awesome job! :)

I would have been really intrested in the story, but unfortunately, I could only trigger the first scene and I have no idea how :/ Some subtle hints for the next objects would be nice, maybe after some missed turns. Even better if there are little animations on the objects that are barely noticeable, imitating the scenario when someone imagines seeing something from their peripheral vision. Also, movement with the mouse would be so much better.

wow, the amount of care put into the graphics and music and sound effects is inspiring - the atmosphere is really creepy and late-nighty and absoluie fantastic in your game.

Unfortunately I really couldn't figure out the actual gameplay - I did understand the tv mini game, but other than that nothing really happened and I died...?! a mystery is cool, but for me at least the mystery reaches the stage of confusion.

Here's my completely honest review:

Art, Phenomenal.
Music, Atmosphere and sound design? Phenomenal.
Gameply? Unintuitive and inconsistent. My biggest problem here was that initially I played your game without reading your little help section I had no idea what to do and just kept playing the game, I even tried losing on purpose using both methods. Afterwards I read your instructions and tried that and managed to get two of the ghost scenes to play but the next screen flash I found I couldn't trigger again. Not sure if it was something I was doing wrong or not... But that said, this game felt extremely polished and definitely achieved a spooky feel. I could easily see this being a real game and it has a lot of potential! Good work sir.

Nice horror experience loved the aestetics, sound, music and the cutscenes 👻.

The mechanics are a bit tricky to understand, is not obvious where are the areas that you need to stare at. The last one took me very long time to figure out where it was at it was triggering on different points 🙈. Except from that, everything else is well executed and polished.

I really felt the tense atmosphere this time, and sounds (both music and effects) have been implemented masterfully. Well done!

I really like the art and the sound from ur game. I like the technical realization very much.

Without the game description, I didn't understand what the goal of the game is. I struggled to understand the gameplay loop. I know how hard it is to explain its loop when it's not something common. You could still work on that to make it a little clearer.

Very unique concept, and I'm sure we all stayed up too late working on our games at least one night :)  I was a bit confused in the controls and what to look for. Didn't notice anything other than the TV blinking.

Beautiful art and aesthetics! I second the comment about the trigger area, also an outline effect instead of a flashing screen would help a lot.

Submitted(+1)

Um, very interesting concept, but very hard to get the game to work at all. Maybe make it more clear.

The artwork and visuals are amazing. The SFX with the ticking clock and the atmosphere are wonderful and really bring you into the experience. The gameplay is a bit confusing at the moment; I was able to get something neat to happen, but it does feel like the TV flashing yellow happens too frequently in between tasks.

A better system for know what is interactable, or maybe a large trigger area for what is interactable as well as either lowering the yellow screen timer and/or adding a bit of variety.

Overall, atmospherically this game is brilliant and I think with a few tweaks, you could make the gameplay shine just as much as the atmosphere. Looking forward to some improvements and more games from you!

Interesting game!

The visuals were the greatest visuals I have ever seen in a jam, but I can't say the same for the gameplay. Though it sucks you in, it just leaves you there, I didn't know what to do other than to just watch the tv, I tried interacting with everything but nothing happened. The boy should have given hints after a while, I couldn't finish the game because I had no idea what to do, So I didn't get how this is related to the theme or the mechanics. The sounds were amplifying the experience and I wish I could have thoroughly played it

First of all - great job! The title really looks solid. The artstyle is lovely, I like the low-fi pixel art, yet it keeps a lot of details. I like how the cursor moves and the room tilts a bit and also the guy follows the cursor with the head, great details! The sounds and music are solid, the animations look good.
The lacking part for me was the design and overall direction.
I didn't know what to do first other that playing the TV, then I read the instructions and even with those I didn't figure out all the things happening. I got 3 events happening, triggering something else once but didn't manage to find what did it again. It's a shame because from the screenshots it seems there are some cool stuff but I couldn't get to it.
It's your call but you could make the game more accessible, I am not a fan of a tutorials but some slight hints might help. The objects might move a bit as you get to the right one, the sound might change pitch to indicate hotter/colder, otherwise it feels like I have no idea on collision areas, what to look for or if something should happen at all, and also the timing for triggering the event seems to be very specific.
