I spent a bit of time forgetting that I could switch between the good and evil side of things, then the investigation went smoothly!
I really liked the effect of both sides blending together when confronting the culprit, both in their dual responses and the visual shifting.
The sound which plays for the text was a bit too grating for me so ended up muting it.
I solved the case! It was a lot of fun, I really liked the mechanic of switching back and forth for different information, great job!
I liked the overall concept with questioning the town. Looks like you put a lot into the writing as well. The art style goes perfectly with the gameplay I think
very old school and i like it - i loved the little clue hunt.
Overall great idea tied to the theme, wasn't able to finish it, got a bit confused and then the bug appeared and wasn't sure what I should do anymore. Maybe a short tutorial in the start would have helped, since I got stuck with the conversations/etc in the beginning, but figured them out later and I did enjoy the fact that other dimension person gave different information and talking points.
The bug that kind of broke the game: the character got displaced on the map, so that I couldn't walk on certain areas (like the cemetery, since the character was misplaced it didn't go in the middle)
nice concept for the game, also good to have something different to play :). Enjoyed the mystery element.
Dialogue controls were a bit clunky. I got used to them by the end, but could have been made smoother.
Great job, well done!
I completed it and found the killer! River cat is best cat. Mechanics can be a tad wonky at times; if there was a specific button that could be pressed to close the dialog menu it would improve things a lot. Still a fun play with a decent story and cool ending cutscene.
It's a bit confusing, but it's enjoyable and fun to play. would you try out mine and let me know where I can improve?
Good thing you wrote the controls in the description, I was a bit confused at first.
Got a bit stuck at first, couldn't figure out how to start the game I tried mashing E, Space, mouse click etc. finally understood that Enter does it. It would be a lot more intuitive if you just put a "Press Enter To Start" text there. Then I got stuck when talking with NPC's, at first I thought it was glitched, then I figured out that you need to point out a clue.
PS.: Finished the game and the concept is really cool, loved collecting clues and piecing them together. The gameplay, theme integration and the game overall is really solid, nicely done!
I like the look and the idea of the game, but couldn't really figure out what I was supposed to do, I'll try again after work... Good Luck
Not bad at all, very interesting approach to the concept! Was a bit unclear what to do in the beginning but we got there!
