Had fun with the game! I think this game could improve if one could not simply kill themself. So that finding a way to die is part of the puzzle? The dying animation could be quicker. And I have honestly not really used the fireball because there was no need for it? But I love the king and I would die for him!

This was a nice game with a lot of great ideas! I'm in agreement with a lot of the other comments here. The death mechanic with ability switching feels a little conflicting since I feel like I want to switch abilities quickly. And I'm finding that my accomplishments in the game feel a little empty without the ability to lose.
Even though this game jam's theme is "Death is only the beginning" I'd like to see the ideas expand beyond the theme.

Good stuff ! I think if my dying animation was quicker I would have a more fun experience, just swapping back and forth abilities. And i think it needs some drawback in dying at a minimum. Cause enemies doesn't really pose a meaning right now but a nuisance
Looks awesome, got stuck pretty fast though unfortunately. Figured I would need the cannon and cannonball to blast through the wall, but couldn't get to it when it fell on the left to the wall. Anyway, it looks awesome. Could have used a little story though to tell the player what is going on.
I couldn't figure out what I was doing at the beginning but it suddenly clicked for me. Neat idea and nicely ties in to the theme!
The aesthetics and the dynamic lighting are very nice. Well-executed mechanics presented beautifully.
I think to make it even better, binding the special abilities to one key would help a lot. Also, I feel like some platforms are almost unreachable with double jumps?
Love the Aesthetic. The lighting and sprites look great. The player movement felt fluid.

I was stuck far too long on trying to figure out the controls but eventually it dawned on me, might be due to it getting late in the evening. A tutorial would be super helpful! Aside from that the graphics and sound are great and the game really comes together once I understood it. Very well done!
Visuals and idea are cool. I don't know why you have to die to switch abilities. The controls I think can be mapped a bit nicer for the average person. If you only have one ability (fireball or dash) why not have them mapped to one key for either the hand not on WASD or the mouse button? I LOVE the concept of this and the art.
Felt very responsive controls! Got stuck at one point when I jumped down the level and couldn't get back up for the key(that i assume was there) otherwise had a great time, the art and level design felt really good.

This game looks really nice and I was excited to play it.
I couldn't get past the theme here. While I like the idea of cycling through powers, forcing a player to self-destruct and calling it suicide felt really insensitive. I feel like there are a lot more ways to design a cycle of rebirth for the jam theme without directly calling it that.
The game itself works well. The powers felt a little imbalanced in that the jump felt too fast and flighty while the dash and fireball felt too slow and inconsistent. If you put more into this, I would definitely be interested in checking out. Y'all have got a neat idea and a pretty looking game :)
