Excellent game! I made a video that includes your game. Check it out!
Work-Life Balance is a multitasking game where you have 60 seconds to simultaneously manage two mini-games. The game gives you a glimpse of managing real-life stress of juggling multiple responsibilities. Solve math problems while mowing the lawn or spot spelling errors while following a dance instructor. While reality is more challenging, this simulation is plain fun without the headaches and real-life consequences.

Thanks a lot for playing my game. I am so happy to see it on your list, even though it barely made it :D.
Keep up the good work with the Phaser framework!
The games in places 5 - 14 were not in any order - we all rated them as prize worthy :) Only the top 4 were in actual order!
a classic twist on "balance" and very fun! i felt like the spongebob meme trying to look at both minigames at once, but the visual cues + how each minigame required your attention was a nice balance (heh). cool music + sfx, definitely felt the stress when the music started speeding up. very curious to see what other mini-games in this theme would look like!
haha, did not know this Spongebob meme, bit it fits very well 🤣. Thank you for playing and the nice comments. I rarely go back to my game jam entries and extend them, but maybe here it might be worth to add more mini-games 😊.
This turned out awesome! I followed your dev-journey on discord and X, and I absolutely love the homemade music and especially the soundFX using the Bosch powertool. :-)
The minigames play very well, I think it feels best using a touch device (I tried mouse, stylus and twohanded touch). It gets quite stressfull, but in a good way.
Great job!
Thanks a lot for playing, the feedback and following my dev-journey. Hehe, I usually prefer to "find" the sounds at home rather than searching through the internet for something suitable. It is amazing how much you can do by just recording something and playing a bit around with the EQ to make it fit. Thanks for doing a study on the different devices :). I try to make my games always touch and mobile friendly so I can share it with family and friends, which usually do not sit on a computer to play a game.
really nice fun game love the concept just sucks that I suck at multitasking!
Thanks for playing and the nice comment! Yes, I think we all suck at multitasking there are just some people which have the illusion they are good at it :D.
Great minigames! of all the tasks I would have loved to finish mowing the lawn in time!
Thanks for the nice feedback and playing my game. Even with perfect timing the lawn mowing could not be finished in time. I had no time to balance the speed and so on, so that it is theoretically possible to mow everything :). So I think you can get up to 60 % or so.
Wow, super fun game! Simple but it works really well, both the difficulty of each task and the time you have to do them are well balanced and keep you hooked. I could see this becoming a kind of Wario-Ware / brain training kinda thing with some more mini-games! Very well done!
And I beat your high-score, so of course i like it even more :P
Thanks for playing and the nice words! Congratulations to beating my high-score, 33k is pretty amazing!
Very happy you liked the game, as I am a huge fan of your entry!
Wow, what a cool game!
Concept is so simple while so smart: I would love to have this idea! Playing two simple mini-games at the same time is very clever and fit the theme so well.
I would like to have different minigames for each day, but I understand it's quite complicated to do in the context of the game jam.
I love to see brillant ideas like this one: definitively my favorite entry so far!
Cool, thank you very much for playing and the very nice words about my game! I am also pretty happy how it came out.
The initial idea was 6 mini games, but at some point I had to decide for either more polish or more mini games and I went with a more polished experience.
Got a score of 23,397! The game is really well-designed—I had a lot of fun playing it. Clearly, work-life balance is impossible... 😂
I also feel like this game would work great as a two-player co-op experience. If the two sides had some interactive or interconnected elements, it could make things even more engaging. Great job!
Thanks a lot for the nice feedback and 23k is a very good score for the first attempt!
Yes, you are the second person who brings up the idea of co-op. I definitely need to think about this and how this could work. For sure it needs some more interconnected elements to make it really fun for two players. Otherwise it is just two players playing their own game on one screen.
Such a feel-good game—really well done! It’s incredible that you pulled all of this off solo in such a short time. Huge respect!
Thanks a lot for this very nice feedback. If possible I take a week off for this game jam and go into full indie game developer mode for one week. This time there were even some Easter holidays, so it was almost 1.5 weeks of full time game development incl music, art etc.
Really good game well executed. That were be fun to play it on a wii : )
Cool, thanks for the feedback and playing my little game. True, I did not realize it, but it has some Wii game vibes. Lawn mowing would be for sure fun with a Wiimote.
I love that you have a README and License file (main criteria for open source category). Love that your README has some screenshots and a lovely graphical title.
Clean visuals, easy to read text, loving the narrative at the start. The music is very funky and gets you in the vibes. Fun and interesting take on "balance". I enjoyed the fact that the spelling and maths questions were random and different so you couldn't just learn them. Would love to see more levels in future. Nice job.
Just watched the video and one of the great things of making games is seeing somebody play your game on stream :). Thanks a lot for playing it and much respect for playing through sooooo many entries and providing nice and useful feedback!
Happy to see you liked my quirky music and the game overall. Agree that it would need some more mini games, but as it is with game jams at some point you need to cut the scope. I decided to rather polish the four mini games than adding more but crappy games.
Enjoy the last 23 games :).
Yeah 100% on the mini games, hence why it's a "future" ask and not expecting you to have more levels for a game jam. I love that you prioritised polishing four levels than making more - kudos; you did the right thing!
Yep, got through all 125 entries on stream. Thanks for checking it out and also putting effort into all your work. Great job.
Thanks again for the good feedback! I totally forgot about your charity after I watched your video, so I just donated a small amount. Hope it helps :).
Nawww you're so amazing! Thank you so much for sending in some 💖 for St Jude.
Nice Concept!. I really loved the gameplay, Btw there are 2 more games with the same name, (^-^;)
Thanks for the nice feedback and playing my game. True, I saw one, but not the other. I now played both to see what their idea of work-life balance was.
