I really like the music and the graphics on the menu. Great that you were even able to add voice acting. It is very rare that you see this for a game jam entry! The game itself might still need some polish. I could not make it far, as I could not figure out on how to jump higher. Inside the game the art got also a bit inconsistent (different styles and outlines), so I think it would be worth to make this consistent. If you include platform jumping I would ensure you have good platformer mechanics in place. For example "coyote time" is something which is a must otherwise jumps from one platform to the other can be very tricky.
I still think that this is a very good base for a cool! Well done and keep working on it! Congratulations to your entry.
Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! You're absolutely right—we definitely got a bit too ambitious for our first game jam and ran out of time to polish things properly (classic first-time gamejam dev move 馃槄). The jump you mentioned is, unfortunately, impossible as it stands—something we plan to fix along with improving the overall platforming feel.
Huge thanks for mentioning "coyote time" too—that鈥檚 super helpful, and we鈥檒l definitely research and implement it. The team is excited to keep working on the game, expanding it, and making everything more consistent and polished. Hopefully, you'll check it out again down the line when it's in a much better shape! 馃槉
ran in to some glitches, looks like the team knows - video is here and you can see the things i ran into
Overall a nice platformer with great animation and music.
A couple of issues: I wish the player would face the direction of movement and the bullets were more visible.
