Cool game, had a blast rampaging through the levels with the Rush styled rock song in the background!
Fun game with random encounters. Some information about what you're trying to fight towards would help. I see gems are from bosses but I defeated an anthill and did not get any so I assume that was not it? Also audio feedback to the player about events like a full dung meter as well as visual indicators like which enemy is currently targeted would have been nice.
Thank you for your feedback! The Ant hill is just a variant of a regular enemy but acts as a sort of mini boss but I understand how thats a tad confusing! Every 10 floors you fight a boss :)
Solid feedback and I will for sure take it into account! A manual aiming system / visible targetting system is something I ran out of time with, so I for sure agree!
Thanks again!
My parents always told me to not play with my food, but this dung beetle obviously didn't listen.
I really enjoyed this game and thought the power ups were an interesting way to change the gameplay. I got the increased dung size early on, but my poop didn't do additional damage like I thought it would. I didn't realize the benefit until I later upgraded my poo to pierce through enemies. That combination along with shooting through walls made the game really easy.
It's a really s#!tty game, and I mean that as a compliment!
What did parents know anyway! Play away! Heheh.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I have definitely been tweaking things like how gradulally the Dung increases, and also implementing that bit of feedback where the size of the dung affects the overall damage.
Thanks again for the feedback, we truly appreciate it!
Loved the art style and the unique weapon charging mechanic 😁 Great job!

Beat the game and it was loads of fun! Wished I could've played more. I really liked the ammo mechanic idea along with seeing the skills, shop, and gem system. The skills were interesting and comboing some together made it fun. Main issue I had is that for a game that involves running around a lot while being shot at constantly, the map was pretty cramped. Would love to see you do more with this!
I really like the game mechanic idea, having to move to collect your ammo (dung) makes it even more intense. It was a bit hard to see where to move and differentiate the walls from the ground in the beginning, but I got used to it, and overall had fun. Good, cute characters too. Good job!
The mechanic where you have to move to shoot is sheer genius, especially when paired with the dung beetle theme. The walls were bit difficult to distinguish with the floor because they were both kind of dark though. I really enjoyed the game overall! Great game!
Innovative with the charging attacks when moving feature which makes the game faster pace and more action. Fun game.
I love the skill you get to choose after each level in combination with the things you can buy, it makes each run a bit different and interesting. I felt the levels were a bit tight but that part of the difficulty I guess, it got a bit too hard fast. Overall, very well done.
Nice concept of using movement as a reload mechanism. I like that the shots are auto targeted. I would appreciate a little more room to move around though, as some levels felt too small. Great Job !
A fun little game, I liked it! I wish that maps could be a bit bigger given the need to move around. The part which I did not like was the to kill the hive, which kind of felt like a chore, because you were simply walking around and shooting without much excitement there. Other than that, love the upgrade and shop system!
Loved the music and the feedback loop of dying and going back to buy items and coming back stronger than previously. Also loved the way you have to move around to be able to attack! The randomized elements are awesome as well-- all in all, love how much you guys were able to do and also fit together in this jam. I wish there could have been some kind of manual aiming system because I found myself in situations where I wanted to finish off an enemy but the auto-target would shoot a full health one instead, but all in all a fantastic play!
This game was a lot of fun! The idea of needing to move around to charge your attack was very creative.
Some of the maps felt a little cramped, like there was no place to get cover. Which I guess maybe was intentional, but there are weird difficulty spikes because of it. Also, in the upgrade shop, for some reason I was always offered the same skill for the first & third slot (e.g. both would be "get more gold"). IDK if that's a glitch or if it's random and I was just getting unlucky.
I love the music and sound design!
Thank you so much for your feedback! The feedback with the levels being cramped is a recurring one and I will for sure improve upon that post game jam!
In regards to the skills being the same, I think its a case of being unlucky! I have improved the skills in general to remove when you collect them and if they should be unique skills, in the post game jam version I was working on here -> https://dung-dungeon-gregory.vercel.app/
