LUA N0VA is a hybrid of two different genres as it is a Horizontal-Scrolling Space Shooter and an RPG... barely.

Very nice and well done space shooter :)

If you want you can check our entry for the jam:

All feedback possible is really appreciated

Cool space shooter, I liked the wave progression and the way the enemy forces build up, my only gripe is that the bullets tend to blend in with the background and I found them a bit hard to see sometimes. Other than that it seems to work well.

Nice shooter. I like the difficulty going up with each wave and cooldown mechanics.

Main issues are player hit box seem inexact and feedback when hit is too slight. Also died and won at the same time at boss fight.

Thanks for the feedback. I did not tweak the hitboxes much and as a result they are the same size as the scaled ship images and a little bit too big. I was also aware there was a possibility of that boss condition but I just figured no one would ever hit it... guess I was totally wrong.

Loved the minimalistic feel and sound. I love these top down shooters!

Nice game! Simple but enjoyable, good work :) As a recommendation, I would suggest to add a little more feedback for player collisions.

Check our game if you have time :)

I did add a sound and animation on the player ship when it gets hit but I admit it's still not nearly enough. Thanks for the suggestion!

Very responsive and good UX feel and satisfying gameplay!!

Do check our game too if u havent yet!! Thanks for making the game!!

Pretty fun game although all enemies dying in one hit an all particles being the same makes it a bit repetitive, I did like the transmissions and cinematic elements to it, maybe if there was less space in between the cinematics it would've been more interesting since the writting is pretty nice!

In the later levels there are stronger ships and a boss that take multiple to many hits to destroy. Maybe I should weave some of them into earlier levels to help provide more variety. Thanks for the feedback!

Very cool game! I liked the light RPG elements and the gameplay felt very responsive. It looked and sounded good too.
