Thanks for playing our first game.

Voxella was created by @poonam. You just made her day!

Thank you! Couldn't have done it without Bosca Coeil.

Nice concept. I can tell that if you had more time, this would have been much better. You should probably turn this into a full game :)

Add more card types and strategy elements!

I love the Orwell and Papers Please feeling! great visuals. The youtube video of the physical machine looks good :)

yes!! pollution level was supposed to add dense brown/ash fog that would go away as you lowered pollution. Adding particle effects kept lagging everything down, so I removed it. First game after all 😋

I will check topsoil out, thank you!!

I know right? We just kept asking, "is this hybrid enough?" And answer was always no 😂

Simple and very fun. The animations music match the game perfectly. Really well done!

Only issue I had was the scroll on broswer+mac was super sensitive, I almost always ended up rotating too much.
Maybe switch rotation to right click?

Thanks  for playing our first game!

Yes, we'll release a tutorial level after the voting period ends.

Meanwhile, read the help cards at the bottom, it goes a long way in explaining what's going on!

I absolutely suck at dance mode hahaha!

Love the way you've interpret the theme and music is good too :D

I love the super jump! Gameplay is difficult but fun. I liked the music too :)

Out of all the games I have played this jam, this feels like the most finished game.

I actually enjoyed the long intro setting up the mood and the delay on "presents" adds to the tension!

Loved the minimalistic feel and sound. I love these top down shooters!

"Mummy look! a space racoon" hahaha

Game looks beautiful and the character *ahem* rocket *ahem* feels well done too.

Good interpretation of the theme!

On mac, I had to install glfw (brew install glfw) to play, please add that in the steps to install as well.

Tell me about it!

One player of my game said that it crashed after they shot at the enemy. I tried to break it so many times and it didn't happen. Now I am pulling my hair trying to figure out what the specific steps I need to follow to break my game so that I can fix it!

That is super strange, maybe it breaks when you do something very specific that you just happened to do the first time.

I tried to break it a few times as well since then, but I haven't been able to yet. I did however notice that the credits scene is not playable, it is supposed to be playable like a sandbox exactly like the main menu.

I'm glad that you can play it without any issues now. Thanks for all the help :D

I kept dying at first and had a blast laughing at the confusion. Once I got the hang of it, it felt great managing resource and killing enemy!

I survived all waves but the game didn't end.

Solid gameplay! It would really help if I could move my units to the front lines.

It is so difficult it was driving me nuts, and I absolutely loved it!

Please make this into a complete game!

I loved the gameplay and backstory. Fun :)

Great concept.

I want to win, but I can't! It drives me nuts and is also factually correct for open source maintainers. haha!

I love the graphics and power up guns. I finally managed to kill Bob!!

It was a fun game with some solid gameplay. I really enjoyed hunting down the fire mage to steal their powers!! :D

Thank you for playing our first game! :) Yep tutorial first scene is coming right after the voting period is over.

Thank you for playing our first game! :D
Yes, we'll add a tutorial level before the main one as soon as the voting period is over.

Corgis are cute!

My controls were a little off but otherwise felt fun

The game is super funny. Game hanged more as I got closer to the ground.

Really enjoyed the game! The concept is amazing and it was pretty good challenge.

I like the design and the way you've interpret the theme.

Does it crash every time you shoot Voxella with the 64 bit version? Can you try the 32 bit build?

If you can spare some more time, please try the development build at the same commit https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XCxW6xLRX6yH02s3jlkcNmUaA9doDKd2/view?usp=shari... and share anything unusual that you see. I am not sure if this is the correct channel for debugging (This is my first game+ GameJam)

Thanks a ton for all the help. You're amazing :)

Which platform is this on?

If you can spare some time, I would love to send over a developer build to diagnose and fix it.

I'd spent countless hours playing this on win 95. Thank  you for reminding me of those days :)

Enjoyed the concept, it is addictive and fun, liked the sound a lot :D

Love the atmosphere the game creates. The first interaction with the guy sets the tone well

I loved the music!

I love RTS games and side scrolling added a layer of fun on top :)

I love how well-done the computer is! The game itself is pretty complex and the slow movement + fire rate adds another layer of complexity to the gameplay.  I didn't expect to see this kind of a game in a jam. Good job man!

I should've made the help similar to yours. I see what you meant about our "orbs" being similar :D

Thank you for playing!

You're the first person outside the two of us to have played this. Woot!!

We wanted to add a simple objectives system for your mission managing pollution with factories.
The game would present the act of killing bushes for charcoal and shooting factories as a moral dilemma, slowly pushing you to a place where you'd have to  shoot a factory, that's when the boss enemy would've come in.

Since this is our first game, we had no idea of time management and ended up tweaking balance/gameplay till the last evening, haha!

I've always wanted the controls to feel like that in the games I've played, so we made it in ours.

Hi! This is my first time as well. I believe you need to make your game public before you can submit it.

Been experimenting with low poly + voxel, third person shooter + management mechanics with power-up drops.

Nowhere close to complete and very unbalanced at the moment.
