How long has this Project been going?
Made a little prototype about 6 months ago, forgot about it. Decided to polish it a little and publish it for this jam.

Cool li'l game. My only complaint is how fast you lose the ability to jump a decent distance upwards. It was fun regardless.

Fun and well made arcade! Would make a great DOS CGA game (drop me a line if you want to collaborate on this!)

Minor complaints: having the dash/jump key also for restarting the games makes you accidentally skip the game over screen way too fast.

Also, the game is somewhat slow to start, completely freezing my Core i3 for a few seconds before loading. Maybe this could be optimized somewhat?

Other than that, quite fun!

I like the idea of this, but I was so bad.  Anyone have any pointers?  Like did you only get 1 dash and 1 jump, and you had to hit a blue circle to recharge it?

Developer (1 edit)

It helps to jump right after dashing onto a blue circle. The jump is also more like a boost, you can hold the button for ~1 second to get a bit more height.

Thanks for playing!

I am terrible at this game and I can't stop playing it.  That's the sign of something fun.

Wow, I made it to 55! A nice and enjoyable experience, aside from the screechy sound when dashing (Z when close to one of those cyan balls). Well done.

Dude I made it to 456.

Good job then :)

This seems like something that would fit on mobile very well! I like the feel of it. But personally I prefer brighter and more vibrant colors.

Would be awesome on mobile if you add a bit more  speed and controll to the game.

The juciness of this game is great! If you're in the flow it also plays really nice, but it seems a bit too hard to get into that state.

Agree, but even in this state I liked how the game felt.
