The graphics in and movement in this game were slick! Great job.
Thanks! We had a great time developing it.
Nice game. The UI feels a bit clunky and the player feedback could be better, but apart from that, it's already pretty enjoyable. I hope it gets further development.
Thanks for the feedback. We are planning on expanding the game more and adding more features.
in this jam, i have fisted a number of monsters. now i include cultists.
momma needed a new pair of shoes. and she wasnt disappointed.
combat felt a little slow paced.
Thanks for the feedback. I’m looking forward to seeing you play it on stream. We struggled with combat pacing and opted to leave the confirm choices in rather than make the change at the last minute.
The game certainly feels complete and polished.
At very first I feared combat would be needlessly slow but it gets fine as you upgrade skills.
Thanks for the feedback. Combat was the trickiest thing for us to implement, we went back and forth on a number of different options.
Good game. I'll wait untill you release pc version (unity browser games somewhat glitchy on my old laptop). I love Lovecraftian themes :)
thx for kind words )
Ну так йопта, от души же)))
Windows download version now available. It plays in full screen windowed mode at 960x540. You can use Alt + Enter to switch between full screen and normal windowed mode.
I made it through putting most of my points in dagger and a little in armor. Good game!
Great to hear it! Maybe you find interesting playing again using a different build...
Good...bad...I'm the guy with the gun... Cool game, being able to quickly switch weapons perhaps would have made it more interesting, a little bit too easy too, but perhaps i just got too many pots with rng.
Thanks for the feedback. I used Bard’s Tale as the inspiration for the combat system and then modified it as time allowed. :)
Great game and I love the theme! I think there is a "small" issue with high dpi mode in Windows. I was playing it in the browser and the text so incredibly tiny. Again, good job!
We tried our best to have the game work at the native resolution and in full screen\higher resolutions. Unfortunately it didn't turn out perfectly due to time constraints. Thank you for your feedback.
The art style on the characters is quite nice and I actually really like the subtle animations when they're attacking.
It feels like the UI/UX could be improved just because combat slows things way down when you have to click/confirm every action. The text readout is informative, but could probably stand to use a much larger font size for readability. Tooltips that position over the skill upgrades would have helped since I start with a couple of those weapons, but don't have an option to upgrade my fists so I assumed the lead pipe skill would transfer to fists as a "blunt weapon"(which I believe isn't true in the end).
I only got really frustrated with gameplay when I was stunned by a priest and failed a weapon equip action, but didn't realize that kind of action could fail so I accidentally attempted to shoot an empty pistol and got slapped in the face for my ignorance.
We went back and forth on the confirmations for the combat actions. I also agree totally that there is kind of a lack of information on what does what in terms of items\combat\skills. The situation where you tried to swap weapons when you were stunned is frustrating and made us want to redo the combat system to always have the player go first and it would have been so much simpler, but time was limited. Thank you for taking the time to play and for your feedback!
I'm liking this so far, but at the risk of sounding stupid, how do I use the key to unlock the door? It says it's locked and I have a key but it won't open.
Maybe is locked by some mechanism?
Oh yeah..kinda like it says ; ) Thank ya.
I give this game two froggie thumbs up. Punched a cultist to death pretty neat.
Great job man
