It's a pity that the game has such a strange ending(

Then why did I save these people just to die from a supernova?)

Developer

Heroism! Its definitely not the end I wanted necessarily but as I see it going to every last planet you can before being consumed is the heroic thing. I wanted to animate ships leaving the planet once they are evact'd to show that they do make it out without you.. but I was in a bit of a crunch.

Developer

Oh I will for sure thanks for playing!

An FTL-esque game! Really nice, with the spacing on the planets giving some leeway and some really not. Is there a good ending to this game? I think I hit a dead-end with the planets and couldn't go further.

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately no I wanted to plan a end route that would go to another star system but I ran out of time :( I plan to update the game in the future!

Submitted(+1)

I see, keeping my eye on your game then in case of that update! :D

Very, very cool :O

that’s fun, I liked it

  • I felt like saying the outcome of each of the actions would have been better, I felt like I was just randomly clicking at two buttons and not really making any meaningful decision; also
  • the ability to pan the camera around would have been really appreciated, cuz I ended up getting “cornered” by the planet routes, but I couldn’t really make any other choice, there was also a time where I wanted to select a planet, but couldn’t because it wasn’t on my screen; also also
  • knowing which planets are the shops would have been great also, gives us a chance to plan the route a bit more, like, there are more ppl to save on this route, but, that on that route I can repair my hull; also also also
  • didn’t really understand what the crew did, but I did appreciate they had names

Excellent use of theme, nicely polished and doesn't feel incomplete like most jam games do.  Really liked this one.

Developer

Thank you so much!

This was the most interesting game I've played so far. The game was immersive, because everything fit together. I've read that you will keep developing, but in the current version, I felt like there were not enough different objectives or sets of choices on the planets (or I just had bad RNG). At first,  I had to think about what to choose, but at some point I just knew the "better" choice for many of them which made the game less interesting after playing for a while. This was the only negative thing I could point out though, everything else was very good!

Developer

Thank you very much! I definitely will be spending time to make the dialog more immersive with wider ranges of option and paths to take. I really had to keep my scope as small as I could with this type of game in the time constraints of the jam. Thanks for taking the time to play and give feedback I really appreciate it.  Hope you can check back in for the next update. I'm thinking about taking a month to do a big push and see if i can make something really worth sinking teeth into. Cheers!

I liked the concept and the art. I think it works well, but I would have liked a bit more interactivity with some events.

Still, it's a great job! :D

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Pretty fun game, I kept replaying it. If you decide to develop it further, one idea that I think could be nice would be the ability to look a little bit further ahead so that you can try to plan your route a bit more. I often felt like I as just taking blind guesses as to what the best path might be, rather than having enough information to try to make good decisions.

Developer

A middle click camera toggle will definitely be in the next update. Thanks for playing!

Really liked the strategy and management style of this game! Reminds me of F.T.L haha

Developer

FTL was an inspiration but my initial thought was Oregon Trail in space.

This reminds me of an old game I used to play when I was a kid. The different options you can choose make it so much cooler! Honestly, I would love to see further development of the game!

Developer

Give me a follow! I'm definitely going to push updates in the future! Thanks for playing!

I like the theming you went with for the game, and the supernova acting as a way of pushing you on was cool. I do wish there were a few more interactions, and sometimes the paths between planets overlap and get cluttered, but otherwise, great job!

Developer

Oh man I know. The pathing was a hard algorithm to crack.. I will be working on it after the jam. Heres what it looked like for the first couple days.

The concept for this is quite cool and I think it was executed well. The graphics and music fit well with the setting, and I also did feel the urgency and rush of having to figure out where to go next and make decisions per planet. The only thing though is that maybe at the start there could be more indicators on what the controls are because I was initially confused with what to do, but I eventually figured it out.

In general, good job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much! I'm taking notes for future development. I think a middle click camera toggle would be ideal myself.

Honestly, could play the game for a long time - very cool idea, implemented really nice! I was going for a similar gameplay with my game for the jam, but yours is so much better polished! Would love to play it more!

Developer

Thank you so much i going to continue developing it after the jam concludes! So many ideas..

Loved the literal take on the theme

Developer

Thank You!

I really like the idea! I enjoy sitting down and playing games where it's not about reaction speed but rather about reading, thinking about the best approach, and assessing the situation. Great work!

Developer

Thank you i'm glad you enjoyed it! I cant wait to update it in the future.

Submitted(+1)

Really really cool game and concept, I wish there was more interactions that were mini games rather than dice rolls but everything is cool

Developer

I will in future updates I just had to keep my scope smaller.

Incredible game !

I love the idea of going from planet to planet saving people from a dying galaxy, so this game really resonated with me !

You've done an amazing job with this ! Bravo !
