The combat feels great, really fun to play. The QTEs are an interesting idea, but just don't work for the otherwise fast-paced gameplay - even if you're used to touch-typing, releasing the gameplay-critical mouse to try and get to the correct key in time feels pretty clunky, unfortunately. Still, there's a really solid game system here!

The combat is top notch. What a shame, that to adhere to the theme, the developer decided to add keyboard guitar hero in the middle of the action. It's especially irritating, when there are ranged enemies right in behind a QTE. So, I'm expected to jump using W and D, hit the QTE, which tells me to press P (opposite side of the keyboard), while time stops for me, but not for the rectangle with the gun, who will shoot me as I'm reaching for the letter P.
The combat is so interesting, I want to steal it for a proper release. Why oh why did you decide to do the QTEs? Absolutely tanks the game for me.
Graphics are simplistic. Consistent but a little too basic to merit praise in my opinion. The weapons and sword slash are great, so it's sad to see every character be a primitive, in my opinion.
Audio has no music. The slash sounds great.
This would have been in my hall of fame for this game jam. Sadly, it isn't. Press P to pay respects.
There is also some tips in the description. There is a way to take care of the enemies behind the QTE trigger first. You can either bait the sword enemies or deflect bullets. I hope you consider trying it again :)
Sorry man, I dislike QTEs at the best of times in AAA. Last games I remember enjoying QTEs are Shenmue 2 and Ninja Blade, by FROM. Those had all sorts of other systems in them and were logically set up. Yours has no other systems going along, and it's random.
This theme has produced a lot of dodgy decisions. Like I said, make a game without that mechanic and focus on adding other, interesting and pleasant stuff, and you can count on selling me a copy.
The game mechanics is the best I've seen so far in this game! Slash is actually reflecting the bullets and blocking the attacks. It's very fun to play. The game would be very good without the red thing. I hope you would release a version without that! If you do so, please let me know!

The game mechanics were nice... Jump slash was the best..... Firstly I didn''t have more than 1 on scoreboard .... But then read your description on tips about the red vertical bar and then I could play the game .... Some fast theme song would be the best suited for the game ... Rated !!! And I did play the game for real .., Believe it or not :)

It takes some time to get used to not jump with space. The movement system opens a lot of possibilities
The idea of stopping the player mid-air while the enemies attack you is pretty bad, it makes the game not the best experience. Seems like a fun game except for that. Good job though!
Thats the challenge of the game, and if you haven't noticed, most of the time you can beat the enemies behind the barrier by deflecting/baiting them. Its no fun if its too easy ;)

It's hard as hell, but it feels good! I think without the lies mechanic, this will make a terrific combat platformer!
The attack feedback is very good, and it's a funny game. But I think that sometimes I can't move my hands very quickly and it makes me annoyed. So I think that you can only use the keys near WASD, then it must be more friendly. My highest score is 36. The most annoying key is "L".

One of the funniest game I actually test in this jam ! please continue something with this concept , it's a really good entries !
It felt really nice to slice through enemies, but the prompt to press a button was annoying. I wanted to keep slashing and killing people but i had to press a random button for no reason. I wanted to keep playing but it became too frustrating. Was fun regardless. highscore was 14
